None of them should have been showrunner. It's as simple as that. Agree! 3 examples of fans who never seemed to replicate the spirit of the original show, for all the surface similarities. And I voted for RTD in the end. Moffat typically threw away his promising start and Chibnall's version of the show was unrecognisable on any level, but whilst I get that Davies has the right to defend himself his constant sneering is insufferable. From the little I saw of the Tennant comeback his vision of the show hasn't developed at all!

From the little I saw of the Tennant comeback his vision of the show hasn't developed at all! Moronic, egotistical and arrogantly smug sums up all three of them. Muppet is probably the least crass and moronic out of the three of them, but he still hates the original classic series with his repeatedly idiotic revisionisms.

RTD for me. He believes his own hype and the media do nothing to placate his ego. I've just seen an article refer to him as the "king" of Doctor Who! He just smears himself all over the series and it's difficult to read anything without seeing his name in the headline.

I understand Rushy and Yak not liking the name calling LOL. I must admit I do feel a bit bad about calling Moff, Moffhack for years as I feel I sold him short. However also remember that these guys are not above it either, like RTD calling his critics ming mongs (in fact he did a whole chapter devoted to them called "bastards") then there is Moff saying that the 60s writers should be clubbed to death for their output. Just saying a lot of the time these guys start the fire as it were. Meanwhile I think this is hard to say as RTD did start things with New Who, Moff however took it to the point of no return with Missy, whilst Chibnall did the most damage. I think though that RTD and Chibbers were worse fits as Moff is actually a good sci fi writer when he wants to. He just had a lot of pressure from above. He shouldn't have given in, but still RTD and Chibbers are just terrible fits for DW. Chibbers has 0 imagination. It was surgically removed at birth. RTD meanwhile cannot get over ONE aspect of his personality, being gay and is such a narcissist he has to retool the show to be like him. As I've said before it would be like if in my DW story, I made the Doctor into someone who never shuts up about Amy Winehouse every three seconds, or big nosed women, had him played by a Scots man and set every single story in my tiny little home town. t.co/sKnvHNqhhwGuy is a serious egomaniac.

Rubbish. Calling him "fathead" is nothing compared to using derogatory terms to describe people who don't like your work. "Mong" in particular was always another cruel word people used instead of "retard" in high school. The word is actually a term of abuse and shows that RTD thinks fans are "intellactually disabled" for not liking his work. What about Downs people who enjoy his work? He's a piece of shit to be honest.

I have to admit, he's fallen a long way from the light-hearted, cheerful contributor to shows like 'Why Don't You' back in the day - he's as prone to discriminate as his biggest detractors. He's been fed so much hype from the 'critics' he's completely fallen for it. š„

I think calling Old Warty "Fathead" for being a Fathead is perfectly acceptable myself.
Hooray for me, Russell the T.
...Fathead.

RTD might be called the 'King' of Dr Who by fawning media, but the only thing he rules uncontested on The Hive is this poll!

Do you believe heāll lose sleep over being called āFatheadā on a forum with generally little traffic? Heās quasi-regularly called a c*nt on here. Do you take issue with this as well? I personally donāt often use the Fathead, Mufftwat or Chinballs substitutions (courtesy of my writing style), but equally, itās not in my place- or anyone elseās- to dictate whatever jovial nicknames are used and not used. Iām not a moderator. Unless someone posts clearly incendiary content (intended discrimination, Holocaust Denial/Revision, doxxing personal information to abuse or unsettle other members), I donāt see why people canāt take the piss as they please.

I donāt see why people canāt take the piss as they please. A joke isn't a gateway to saying whatever you damn well please. There's teasing in good humour, and then there's just being a spiteful prick.
