Yeah...there's such a thing as too much "range" and that's what it looks like, right there.
From tit to arse.

"I don't know if I'll ever do another job" - the cry of the Chinball era alummni. Can Chinballs come up with an original title to save his life?

Maybe her acting will improve? Her acting isn't the problem (She's better than Tosin). It's the fact she's woefully written. No classic series companion was ever that bland and characterless.

The Doctor's too powerful. Go back to the classic era, when authority figures treated him like a piece of crap.

The Doctor's too powerful. Go back to the classic era, when authority figures treated him like a piece of crap. Sadly that’s a common factor with a lot of characters these days. It’s why I’ve come to appreciate stories that actually reach a conclusion. For some reason certain people just want to keep pushing characters to make them seem even more cool at the expense of of their stories feelin credible. Take Batman, with how he’s written these day you have to wonder how Joker, Two-Face and the rest ever escape prison let alone commit a crime. And while we do know the hero will win in the end, with just how obscenely intelligent Batman is now made to be, you wonder why any of the villains would even be trying anymore as most of them are really nothing to the man can outsmart superman and darkseid.

Also what the f*ck is the Master wearing? An evil copy of Jodie’s outfit? What did they realise they could make the modern version even less inspired by degenerating him into an out right evil Doctor clone?

Clement and La Frenais, who wrote Porridge, said it was about "little victories". The prisoners odd cheeky remark or getting one over the screws, when we all know, the prison system has total power in the end. I think that applies to Doctor Who. A rotten universe but some small pockets of levelling the playing field from the main character.
To make him an all powerful, feared God removes the dramatic tension. It becomes a bunch of easy victories over now less powerful villains.
It's all about the egotism of the writers of course. All that Mary Sue BS.

Unless it comes with a free Target novel or DVD I don't understand why anyone would pay that.

Maybe her acting will improve? Yaz desperately needs to get shagged by Whittaker in her police uniform. My penis is aching to see Jodie pour cream in Yaz's gaping butthole and then watch her fart the cream out. "You've gone too far"

I agree with that view, many take the piss out of the classic Daleks for example, saying they always lose, but I think many forget things like the fact that they had an iron grip on earth for 10 years befor the Doctor showed up. They, the Cybermen, the Sontarans and many others are all out in the universe unleashing unknown horrors, the Doctor is not always their to stop them. At best he’s foiled some of their key plans, especially in regards to earth, but he never totally got ride of them. That’s not how the universe of classic who worked. The Doctor made things better as he went but he never was this grand force for good, even Seven doesn’t do such in his episodes but more so in expanded material. As you say the Doctor is not a god. He’s an explorer who helps out, and not always willingly. Many was the time the classic Doctors were gritting their teeth at the idea of having to go out of their way to sort someone else’s mess out. Tom in particular only did so under extreme duress at times.

Just to examine that point further, lets actually examine that relationship between the Doctor and the Daleks.
In nuwho he is viewed as the Daleks' nemesis, the on comings storm and their predator, yet in classic who that simple is not the case. Of the 16 classic stories in which the Doctor actually encounters the Daleks only 5 are deliberate in some way. The Chase which is instigated by the Daleks themselves, Frontier in Space/Planet of the Daleks which I recall there being some hint of time lord interference and Genesis in which there is no illusion of Time Lord interference. That of course means that the only time the Doctor has ever intentionally put himself in the way of the Daleks of his own occurred is in Remembrance.
With that in mind, true reason the Doctor is Dalek Enemy #1 is the same reason Arthur Dent is the doom of every incarnation of Agrajag. Coincidence. Pure Chance. Fate Playing Silly Buggers.
The Doctor works as the Dalek enemy for that very reason. He is an explorer, they are conquerors. He is their complete antithesis in ever way and to make him their imbittered foe, to the point that he is on some level similar to them completely misses the point.
