Confirmed today in the subscriber copies of Doctor Who Magazine. No official date as of yet, but it's sometime in October. The preview in the magazine extends to next issue also, priced at a ginormous £10.99 £11 for a magazine is taking the piss. Unless it comes with a free Target novel or DVD I don't understand why anyone would pay that. It's desperation. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it collapses next year. |

I usually went into my home town for the first time since the pandemic to collect the magazine this week, WH Smith has since merged with the postal office and it looked quite disorganized. Why do they have graphic novels right next to the magazines? I wound up buying DWM and the latest SFX. I actually enjoyed reading the SFX more (had a nice article about Spider-Man) and tweeted my displeasure at noticing the absence of the spoiler zone, to which SFX responded with "something called the internet happened"

I will probably watch the special if only because I'm curious to see how she goes. Obviously I'm very excited for Ace's return, less so for Tegan's.

Obviously I'm very excited for Ace's return, less so for Tegan's. I'm not, and I have no intention of ever watching this thing. I wouldn't want to see Ace bastardised by the worst writer in the history of British television at the best of times, and he's likely to be in full scorched-earth mode now that he has nothing to lose. RTD's whole "Ace returned to Earth and became a charity worker" plot f*cking sucks anyway. It just epitomises NuWho's tendency to take the extraordinary and reduce it to the mundane. |
