Nah, I don't agree. Eccleston's "solution" was to let the Daleks kill everyone anyway, and he's ultimately only saved from his own impotence by Rose. That's such a massive copout. From a certain perspective, yes. But the reason he does it is because humanity's death isn't guaranteed. Something could conceivably still happen to prevent it. The Ninth Doctor prefers to die with that hope in mind rather die staining his own conscience with more billions of lives. It's hardly a perfect choice, but there's absolutely nothing impotent about not choosing to wipe out humanity yourself even if the Daleks die too. |

If it's just a bit of fanart that's different. I was more thinking if you wanted to get the story noticed, then Jodie's fans might not like a full story that does that to her. Also weren't you going to pair her with Graham? No offense, but I'd rather see her with Yaz and Shobna Gulati looking on, than her and Bradley Walsh LOL. |

I was going to pair her with Dan in the comic, and it wasn't going to be an explicit sex scene or anything, it was a conversation by the TARDIS swimming pool, Dan convinces her to get her kit off (she'd been jumping through puddles with Yaz outside in the pouring rain) and they snuggle beside the pool. All it would have boiled down to was Jodie in a thong and Dan in speedos! I've paired Thirteen with Graham in dozens of fanfics prior to Dan arriving, and it all culminated in my novella "The Good Place", but there was nothing sexual in them either. There's a scene towards the end when they're in bed together, but they have pyjamas on. Yes, I'm a weirdo , but I have standards, rofl |

To be honest, I don't know why I got so hung up on 13 dating guys...maybe I wanted to be 'progressive' in my own way, I didn't think fancying Yaz would make The Doctor any less hetero even if she was a woman, as they've had a fancy for females throughout NuWho. I don't normally do Doctor and companion romances. I'll probably look back on this period as a bit of a phase I went through to strive off boredom with the era. |
