Thankfully Missy is nowhere to be seen anywhere in the far superior Classic Series. Au contraire. She is seen in the Pertwee era right through to McCoy in various incarnations. Nah, she was seen in the Matt Smith era as River Song, and Tasha Lem, and in Sherlock as Irene Adler. Everybody hated her during those years, but when Moffat tried to link her to that great character you mentioned who was there from Pertwee to McCoy, a lot of feminists who wanted a female Doctor no matter what, forgot their previous criticisms of Moff's cliched femme fatale fantasy, and classic era fans desperate for the show to never be off the air again, praised it as they do everything, and some other fans who were scared of being seen as Nerdrotic types denied reality and claimed she somehow channelled Delgado. |

I think you are getting a tiny bit confused with another character altogether Rani, one called The Master who had used up his alotted regeneration cycle and was forced to steal bodies, not a poor mans Mary Poppins tribute act who says stupid irritating things each time she opens her gob such as "Doctor Whooooooo. That's what he calls himself "Doctor Hoooooooooooooo!" like a complete brainless imbecile. The Master in the Classic Series was highly intelligent, not some crass imbecilic character talking moronic shite every 5 seconds whilst doing Mary Poppins impersonations. |

According to the latest news, Jodie will wear a costume made up of all the previous Doctors throughout the episode. Troughton's trousers, Tom's scarf, Tennant's tie, McCoy's jumper etc. Another desperate attempt to cash in on the shows past yet again. Isn't DW all about change? Didn't it always celebrate the white male gaze?  You can dress her up in all the classic era garments you want. She is still going to play the role like a pound shop bubble from Ab Fab. |

I don't know if this is just my pet peeve, but I also dislike whenever people say "Missy should've actually been the Rani!"
She has as much common with the Rani as she does the Master. The Rani is a Mengele type mad scientist, not the Doctor's wannabe moll.
