woo
If they remember that the Doctor hates Tegan and just screams and runs the other direction when she sees her, that'd be awesome. But it'll probs be boring and mushy.

Not that I consider this garbage canon to the original, but I would argue that bringing Tegan back undoes the great ending from Resurrection. I wouldn't want it even in a good era of DW. PS again all change is good? That's what was crowbarred down my throat on every f*cking forum, and now we are faced with, a story with Daleks, Cybermen, the Master, Tegan, Ace before they hand the keys over to RTD again. Yeah real change you creatively bankrupt c*nts.

It's weird that they're really going with the "Ace opened a charity" idea from SJA. I thought she'd still be travelling through the galaxy.

It's weird that they're really going with the "Ace opened a charity" idea from SJA. I thought she'd still be travelling through the galaxy. If you go by Big Finish’s f*ckery she is. Rather then try and maintain some kind of sense in their own library, they have pretty much said that Ace’s time line is broken and everything has happened. New Adventures, their own stories and what ever crap someone brain farts into existence. Instead of a multiverse, Ace has done all and none of her adventures post 1989 because nones got the guts separate cannons. I’m not happy with Tegan either, her departure and the bitter taste of it was important. Why the f*ck not bring Susan back for this? You know the one he actually promised to go see again rather then the companions who were traumatised by their adventures with the Doctor?

I'm very disappointed they're wasting an Ace return on a Jodie episode. Vomit. One last f*ck you to the fans from Chinballs.

My great hope was always that they might convince William Russell to cameo (since he's probably too old for a full episode now). He recently appeared in a film his son was in, so it's not out of the realms of possibility. But yes, Susan would definitely be terrific also. I imagine Chibs wanted someone who wouldn't be very difficult to write for, however. A Susan appearance would basically take over the episode by default.

Why would you want Susan (or anyone) anywhere near Jodie?!

I don't hate Jodie. Who knows what we'd get out of her if she had better writers and direction. Look at Peter Davison - when his writers sucked, he was a bland cardboard box. But when he had good writers, he shined.

Why would you want Susan (or anyone) anywhere near Jodie?! I don’t, but if they real are so dead f*cking set on brining old companions back, then why not the one who is truly the closest to the character’s heart? Someone you could do a whole story around? No instead let’s just throw in to 80’s companions who by rights should want nothing to do with the Doctor these days in a cheap attempt to win back fans, bearing in mind they are from the period c*nts like Chinballs say is shite.

Basically the show is now at the point where a random online generator is used to come up with the monster, planet, alien, companion and the gender/sexuality of the characters regardless of previous canon. What's the use?

Carole Ann Ford's probably got more sense.

But when he had good writers, he shined. Sorry, I really, REALLY fancy Jodie now after hearing her sing. (Seriously listen to her singing, it's gorgeous.) Still she is woefully out of her depth playing the role. She should aspire to be a bland cardboard box because that would be far superior to anything she's ever done in the part. I don't think any good writing could save her. She'd maybe be semi passable with the best scripts but even then I doubt it. I can't remember who, but someone said that if Jodie were doing the scene in Ark in Space, where the Doctor goes on about indomitable humans, she'd probably scrunch her face up, hunch over, put her hands on her hips and deliver Bob Holmes speech as quickly as she could and in a faux zaney voice. She's what happens when you put agenda above talent and allow nepotism to dictate who should play a leading role.
