Up to episode three of the live-action Cowboy Bebop. Not a patch on the original anime and the performances are very phoned in, but the dude playing Jet is at least trying.

Hale and Pace Christmas Extravaganza (1986)
Their first show is a big successful. Hilarious sketches mixed with enjoyable stand up performances from Hale and Pace themselves and funny comedians like Doon MacKichan (who is so beautiful, by the way). Status Quo and Courtney Pine deliver some good tunes too. Overall, an entertaining special. I've only ever seen it once before.

Cobra Kai Season 4 on Netflix. I'm speechless. I can't believe how good that was. NuWho in comparison has never been as suspenseful or as investing as this season was. My heart is still racing from the finale. It was so great to see Terry Silver back again and I'm happy they pulled an Empire Strikes Back ending where (spoilers) the villains actually win.
Sublime stuff 10/10

Tried getting into Tennant's Around the World In 80 Days. Don't think it's much for me really. There's no topping that adaptation with the lion and the singalong.

I've cancelled my Netflix and Stan subscriptions. Stan only really had Buffy and now they've lost that, and I've gone from Netflixing it every night when I started in August to, uh, never (once I'd finished Voyager it started going downhill lol). A month back I did subscribe to YouTube Premium, which lets you watch it on TV sans adverts. I'm watching that now WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more than the others, so screw it.

Doom Patrol season 2.
I watched the first series of this and I thought it was okay. The first few episodes were brilliant. Really funny and a good cast, but it lost its way by the end of the first season. I hoped that season 2 would improve on it, but it took everything wrong with season 1 and amplified it.
I honestly think season 2 of Doom Patrol is one of the worst genre series ever made. It's as bad as The Orville season 2.
To start with nothing ever fokking happens. These superheroes don't ever fight any villains, go on adventures. They just sit about a fokking mansion moping, complaining and that's that. Also it's the same fokking shit over and over again. The robot guy moans about being separated from his daughter, Cyborg has a girlfriend he mopes about with, the actress moans about her career, the bandaged guy mopes about his son. The absolute worst though is the woman with 57 different personalities. Every fokking episode is just her talking to the other personas. What's worse is that the characters very rarely interact with each other as a group. The robot guy and the bandaged guy I don't think speak to each other apart from in the last episode. The multiple personality woman I don't think shares any big scenes with anyone apart from the robot guy fleetingly. Imagine if in an entire season of Buffy you weren't sure if Giles and Willow had said anything to each other all season. FFS when Spike was a recurring character he had more interaction with Willow than these leads do. Ironically for a show that is all about characterisation, I don't even know what the relationship is between all the characters, who is who within the group etc.
It's also full of SJW shit too. Characters stop in the middle to go on big lectures about how evil white men are, how lazy white men are, and it often has nothing to do with the plot so it actually manages to feel even more jarring and out of the blue than other examples.
It also can't decide if it wants to be a sitcom or an adventure show or a comedy, hence why one episode will have sex ghosts and characters making jokes, whilst another will have a needlessly nasty scene of a young girl being abused and thrown in a well.
The stories are self indulgent tripe. One episode was about ghosts who feed on sex and make everyone in a party get horny. There are big scenes of ghosts humping each other on the walls, one of the main characters dancing with a sex Demon. I actually switched it off part way through.
The story arc is also stupid, thin and makes no sense. Timothy Dalton has a Monkey daughter who has been alive for 120 years and now if she grows up the world will end. That's literally the plot for the season.
The other big disappointment for me this year was Legends of Tomorrow season 6. It was pretty shitty for much of the same reasons. Lame story arc, crappy villains, awful SJW crap attacking white men. One episode even had Spartacus of all people depicted as a moron, a coward and being killed easily as he is a famous white man.
In typical fashion however much like Jodie era who, Legends actually came over as quite right wing in one episode, set during the cold war which depicted Fidel Castro as a psychopath who wanted to start World War 3, whilst JFK was made out to be a decent guy who would never want to, even if America was under attack. Castro had many faults but he was not a war monger.
Having said that though compared to Doom Patrol, Legends seemed like a masterpiece.
I'm pretty much done with these DC tv shows. As much as I love DC (I finally saw the Snyder Cut over New Year and it was fantastic!) Their shows have all sunk into bullshit. Legends was good for its first 3 years. Its fourth season was one of the worst things I have ever seen, whilst season 5 pulled it back, and six has dropped us in it again. Arrow came to a dreadful ending, Crisis on Infinite Earth's was utter bullshit, Doom Patrol is unwatchable horseshit, whilst Batwahman is one of the worst tv shows of all time.
They have all sunk for the same reasons. All turned into dreary soap operas, laden with embarassing attempts to be wacky, and a strong focus on hateful identity politics. Meanwhile their actual stories, monsters and adventures, you know the things that people watch these kinds of shows for have all been barely thought out unoriginal crap.
I still have The Flash season 7 to watch, so I'll see if that's as bad as the others. Season 6 was quite weak. Not terrible like the others, just quite flat and boring. Still even then I don't have high hopes and like I said I am pretty much done with all this Berlanti shit.
The only DC show I still enjoy and look forward to is ironically Pennyworth. Who would have thought, a show made about Batman's fokking Butler. Also for all Berlanti's woke shit, it has a much better female character with Paloma Faith's Bet Sykes than any of them do.
Still other than Pennyworth I'm done with DC sadly. At least for now.

It's a shame as I rather like the actress playing the multiple personality woman. She is very like Dana DeLorenzo in terms of her mannerisms and looks and feisty persona.
However the difference between how they are used is quite striking.and really does remind you that the people who write the best female characters are the ones who don't congratulate themselves. They just get on with it, like the Bruce Campbell mob.
Dana was given a kick ass character who stuck Demons in a meat grinder, got to fight with Lucy Lawless in a kick ass action sequence, got to play crazy Demon versions of herself, be involved in creative fight scenes, and be funny and tragic and sexy at different points and play off of Bruce Campbell and Ray Santiago.
The multiple personality girl meanwhile has so far in season 2 stood around shouting at herself and a couple of other people every fokking episode about the same thing (who gets to be in charge.) Has had no scenes with her co-stars apart from a few moments with Robot man, and in the last episode she is completely removed from the action the entire time, with her subplot involving her taking part in a huge orgy, and shagging a guy who turns into an image of her abusive father (right whilst he is on top of her grinding away.)
Oh and she then got an empowering lecture whilst naked telling some guy that he just wanted to try out her new type of pussy before walking out.
Seriously I'd almost recommend Doom Patrol season 2 as it honestly so bad it is quite remarkable. I actually think it is on a par with Jodie era Who. In fact it might be worse! It's hard to say. On the one hand it hasn't fokked up DC the way she did, but on the other it might actually be worse as a show.

Hale and Pace Series 4.
My second favourite series afterseries 3. They shoot some stuff in Edinburgh in this one and rest the stand up material in favour of non stop sketches. All the popular characters return too. It's just very relaxing to watch before bed as I can just focus on having a laugh and not be troubled by my problems. Comedy can help with depression I find.

Watching Lucifer right now. Great series, though coming after Doom Patrol it seems like the greatest tv series ever made. I still can't believe how terrible the second series of that was. PS Mazikeen is one seriously sexy bitch

Still on Lucifer. Excellent series all around. I'm on the Cain story arc. Tom Welling is really good in this. It's a totally different role to his one on Smallville, showing what a versatile actor he is.
This is also a much better use of Tricia Helfer's talents as an actress than fokking Battlestar Gallactica. Having said that though, I actually have respect for Battlestar now after Doom Patrol LOL.
I'd say that Lucifer redeemed DC on television somewhat. All of their shows I saw this year prior to Lucifer were utter f*cking shit. Doom Patrol and Legends were obviously real bottom of the barrel horseshit, but the Flash was also just flat out boring, nonsensical dribble. How ironic that Lucifer was the only one out of them that was canceled last year. The other three should have never been made in the first place!
Still I don't think I can give DC too much credit considering that as far as I know they didn't create Lucifer, Cain, and God LOL.

Season 4 of Miami Vice.
Death and the Lady
Crockett investigates the murder of an actress in a porn movie.
This is more like it! I love those Season 4 vibes. Lots of neon, darker themes, insane 80s fashion and a great selection of music. It's a wonderful episode with a good script and compelling direction. Penelope Ann Miller is lovely in her role and Don Johnson gives his best performance as Sonny. This is so atmospheric and in a way quite creepy. My favourite episode of the series by far.

Looks like Neighbours is to be axed. Haven't watched it for 16 years anyway (bar 3 episodes in 2020), but I can't say I'm overly surprised or sorry if it's true. It's long since past it's prime. Part of me thinks it should have ended in 1991, as it only survived by becoming something else after that. And as brilliant as the brief 2004 renaissance was, it threw it all away the following year and quickly became unwatchable again. They've had so many opportunities and squandered so many of them with a mixture of stupidity and often a complete lack of respect for characters, continuity and audiences. It didn't end up on a minority digital channel in Aus for the last decade for nothing.

I've never seen it. I don't really enjoy soaps although I can't imagine Neighbours is as bad as some of the tripe we have over here.
