Hmm.... Excellent stuff. That sure ensure some more anti-vaxxers snuffing it. Can't they put it on after the news or something? There was one of them ranting away in my local Sainsbury's the other day, like anyone had even the slightest interest as to whether he was personally going to accept an invitation for a jab or not. We were all too busy at the checkouts getting our shit.

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes: A Scandal in Bohemia. The start of the Brett series. Superb production; looks stunning on Blu ray and Brett and Burke are perfect. On the downside I always found this pretty boring, esp as a first episode, and still do. The story's just not that interesting, and it all hinges on us (and Holmes) supposedly being so impressed by Irene. Yet she don't seem particularly remarkable to me, in her "cleverness". So she rumbles Holmes and takes off. Amazing. His plan was a long shot anyway and she was already paranoid because of so many attempts to steal the photo from her, so what's so extraordinary that she sussed him? It just doesn't work for me. The actress does a good job, but doesn't really live up to the voiceover telling us how stunningly beautiful she is either. I reckon the Irene in Elementary was more impressive on all counts.

I've started watching a late 80s children show called Children's Ward starring Ian McCulloch. Really enjoyable, grown up stuff.

Wasn't that RTD? I think he produced and wrote for the later episodes. I'm only on Series 1 although there have been a few Who connections already. Ian McCulloch from Warriors and Nicholas Mallet as location director.

Been watching a slew of old TV-AM and Ghost Train clips on Youtube. Nobby the Sheep was a right ol' 'nob', but Barry Mafia, the two Marks, and Mervin the Magigician made that show all worthwhile. I do miss the days where Saturday morning chat shows also functioned as a drama on the side.

Marathonning Lost season 4. Probably the best season, actually, much more fast paced with the gas being turned up and the (increasingly interminable) flashbacks largely ditched in favour of a far more interesting dual narrative with "flash forwards". It's also highly entertaining, after having gotten so used to Michael Emerson as the eccentric but kind and heroic Finch in Person of Interest to watch him again as the hilariously despicable and malevolent Ben Linus. Now that's the mark of a great actor - someone who can be both a hero you love and a villain you love to hate!

Watching series 9 of Hale and Pace. It's helping me with my depression (which has become much worse in the last few days). Series nine is probably my favourite series post series six. It's so good to see them getting their groove back in series eight and nine after the torrid seventh series. I'm still upset that nothing beyond series four has been released on DVD here in the UK. I had to buy the rare DVDs from Australia in order to complete my collection.

Watching Space 1999 again. Tried it a few years ago and I thought it was okay. It's actually better on rewatch, though I am only on the first season which is generally regarded as a classic.
The Christopher Lee episode is an absolute classic. The ending was absolutely horrifying. After 5 episodes I'd say it's already better than Battlestar LOL, though I haven't reached the second season yet which from what I remember was a trainwreck of epic proportions. I can't believe they got rid of that amazing theme for starters.

Season 9 of The Simpsons. Not great, but not awful either. I do actually like "The Cartridge Family" even though channel four cut the episode to shreds. "Lisa's Sax" isn't too bad either. I still think the show's golden age ended with season 8, but I think Season 9 is probably the last consistently decent season of the show. Season 10 I just think is utter crap despite the odd good episode here and there.

I quite like the Cartridge family.
"This gun cost me everything. Everything but my precious, precious gun" LOL. Been having a South Park fest recently my self, but might try the Simpsons again. I tend to just pick out random episodes of South Park, but I'd say its golden age is probably seasons 5-12.
Breast Cancer show ever is still one of my favourite episodes. I just LOVE watching Cartman get the absolute shit kicked out of him by Wendy. Never a more deserved beat down.
I also loved the Atheist two parter. Quite a fun little Classic Who reference in there. It seems Trey Parker is a fan of DW. There's also a Dalek and a Spider from Metebelis 3 in other episodes.

It's a solid episode. The ending is always cut for some reason on TV. Marge opens the bin to dispose of the gun and then it cuts to her walking away from it, a swagger in her stride. I believe, though I can't remember, that in the uncut version she keeps the gun for herself and doesn't throw it away.

Elementary season 5. Love Elementary. It's so watchable and strangely relaxing, which is a peculiar trait in modern TV, which is so often stressful to watch. I think it's the characters, especially Miller's Holmes. It's just soothing to watch.
