I actually dislike more stories than I like.

I recall a DWM editorial from the late 2000s praising Simm to the skies while doing down Ainley. It was pretty disgusting, typical New Who shilling. The idea that Ainley is more hammy than Simm, Gomez or Dhawan completely bellies belief. Even Ainley's amusing "Farewell Forever!" is nothing when compared to "DINNER TIME!", "DOCTOR CHANG!" or Dhawan clapping his hands in the most ridiculous manner amidst his initial reveal. At least Ainley exhibited genuine menace on occasion and was given a great turn in "The Five Doctors" and "Survival" (especially).

I prefer Romana I to II Season 6 is a great season and doesn't deserve it's reputation as where Troughton's era declined in quality. Season 15 is the weakest Tom season The War Machines is overrated bollocks Vicki, Barbara and Ian are Hartnell's best TARDIS crew(NuWho) Series 5 still holds up mostly despite a few clunkers. As much as I like Paul Mcgann as an actor and his Doctor despite the shit he had to work with, Richard E Grant would've been the ideal Doctor for the 90s for me. "The War Machines is overrated bollocks" I've always considered it to be one of the best Hartnell stories myself. A great introduction for Ben & Polly. Bollocks is perhaps an extreme way of describing it but I honestly have always found it a snooze fest and have found more enjoyment in the universally panned Myth Makers and Gunfighters.

Kroll is great. It boggles me that that is an unpopular opinion in a world where people gush over Partners in Crime...

I’ve had to put my latest two reviews on hold as I’m getting married tomorrow but I will say that I actually rather like Death to the Daleks… for everything except the Daleks.
Also yes Kroll is great.

Also yes Kroll is great. My best wishes for the big day, Decayed Master! Death To The Daleks had some genuinely fine direction in it, particularly as they head thru the city being 'watched' by someone who turns out to have been dead for an eternity. Yes it's got some rather odd dalek behaviour and some other flaws, but there's also fine acting from Sladen + co and a moving sacrifice at the end. I have fond memories of it being one of the first VHS Who stories I owned.

Also yes Kroll is great. Awww congrats. Hope you have an amazing day and life together. What's more important letting some casual acquaintances know your opinions about Doctor Who, or marrying the love of your life? Obviously the former and anyone who would think differently is a self loathing fanboy.

Hermann Göring was a great man. Oh, sorry. I forgot that it's just Doctor Who unpopular opinions. My bad. Adolf Hitler was a very, very, very naughty man though from what I'm told.

I'm not sure if this an unpopular opinion, but I think it would have been more satisfying if the show had ended on Fenric rather than Survival. Should have swapped them in the running order.

Earthshock is much, much, MUCH better than Caves. What's great about Earthshock is that it has a cave set that don't look like complete shit.

Survival is a better finale for me as it has a feud with a more recognizable enemy, and the Doctor walking off into the sunset feels more complete, but leaves things open ended. I suppose they could have maybe tacced on a similar ending to Fenric, but it would have felt more stretched there.
