I'm starting to notice that most of the stuff is hardly any worse than the Capaldi/Whittaker era. I don't like this era, but there's potential with some of the storylines. 73 Yards I think is an example of them getting it right. As Yak mentioned, things about this era are very half-baked and I think Dot and Bubble ends up being a bit flat because of that. I miss two part stories to be honest. I really am getting Moffat era flashbacks. Pointless and eye-rollingly enigmatic "story arcs" (read: mystery boxes) dragged out over years, interspersed with dull-as-dishwater standalone episodes that just end up feeling like filler because they don't contribute to the overriding "narrative" (read again: mystery box).

Deeply uninteresting. A mundane writer writes yet another mundane story about mundane people, and throwing in another shallow culture war point is supposed to give it depth. The slug/monsters not only looked like crap, unconvincing CGI, but they served merely a device to provide jeopardy, with no real reason for them to be there. Oh and the Doctor cries again. That's pretty much what this Doctor does. He cries, and calls people "babes", presumably because it's "relatable". Well I suppose it is if you're a cretin.

RTD is banging on about how this episode was so expensive, it couldn't possibly be made in 2010 when he first gives us the idea. Then gives us monsters that were outdone by the Letts/Graham Williams eras.

I love Millie. A lot of things are wrong with the show at the moment, but she isn't one of them.

73 Yards sold me on her being a great companion.
Very talented actress, and just nineteen.

Look at how well it's doing against teenagers and children. So it just goes to show you that what I've been saying for years is right. Basically RTD and the Fitzroy Crowd still think this is the 00s and that they are in with the young crowd, but ironically over the last ten years, the Fitzroy Crowd and the formerly young Millennial audience from the mid 00s have done what they always accused the 80s of doing, turning the show into an out of date, exclusive little club for them and them alone, where no viewers can't connect. Difference is, if that did happen in the 80s it was at least for people who liked DW, not neo liberal LGBT activist cliques.

Is that the percentage of the overall viewers who are under 16 or the percentage of under 16s in the country who are watching?

Viewers down again. I don't think they'll go up after that last episode either.

I think the ending would have stung harder if Ricky had made it through because he was acting more in the vein of a courageous companion and there were times I caught myself thinking he'd make a fine Doctor. I read another comment saying that RTD had accidentally given us the best Dactor since Peter Capaldi with Ricky

RTD had this to say about fans spotting the racist revelation:
"will you be 10 minutes in, will you be 15, will you be 20 before you start to think everyone in this community is white. And if you don't think that - why didn't you?"
What's he implying here? That if you didn't think something was up you're the problem?

Does he think this is applicable to everything? Is having an all white cast in an historical production racist and are you a bigot for not noticing it within the first ten minutes?
