I just don't care anymore. The show isn't even interesting enough to take the piss out of it.
As much as I hated Moffat (and still do), he did keep me engaged. The level to which that man annoyed me has yet been matched.
But there's nothing left to break anymore. I'd happily vote to just shut the New Who side of the forum down entirely because seriously, what's there left to talk about? We know it sucks. We know it will continue to suck. No point whinging about it. It's dead and buried.
I'm gonna think about my favourite Hartnell stories instead. I treasure that era of the show so much.

Unfortunately it's not quite dead and buried yet. It's still out there, lurching around in true zombie fashion eating the brains of anyone daft enough to still be watching it... They say on some nights you can hear the call of Davies up on the moors... "Brains... brains... I haven't got any brains!"

It's more like one of those zombies in Day of the dead that's been captured by Logan and has been cut up and is still twitching because they didn't destroy the brain.

I'm all for this place becoming a general sci fi forum and not just a DW one, as the original DW as much as we love it is just one show that hasn't been on for 34 years, so expanding it into the genre in general would give us more to talk about. Not saying you have to do this LOL, I just wouldn't be opposed to it.
I agree with Rushy it's not even worth getting angry about any more. I concede I did get angry at the first two episodes not because they weren't like classic who but as I've said there are so many people out there with great ideas for sci fi and fantasy stories who don't get a chance and RTD who is given all the money and support through bullshit gets to do scripts like that.
Still I'm over it now that he is tanking and being seen for what it he is, so yeah not much else except to say.

Yes I agree let's expand it so we can talk about other scifi and not have it just be Doctor Who .Great idea.

That actress Callie Cooke is really cute to be fair. I LOVE her nose, it's perfect.
Still yeah she has shit taste in monsters and here's hoping being in RTD's latest bit of crap doesn't dent her career.

Expecting another ladleful of shallow neoliberal social "commentary", which is more akin to basic observation of surface elements without any real depth or weight. You rarely find genuine profundity in political pamphlets or social mandates or soapbox rallies, and it is certainly not contained within RTD's self-fellating political diary of a TV show which only exists to canvass the mythical "modern audience" with his faux-radical, milquetoast views.

Bloody hell, Gatwa is so unconvincing. The dialogue doesn't help. Even some of the newspapers can't be bothered to defend this one.

I feel so good about breaking the vicious circle tonight. Too bad it took me until the fifth episode to actually give it up.
Did anyone watch it?

I saw it. Wow, did not expect it to go there. You'll know what I mean if you watch it. I grokked it fairly early on but that ending was just shocking. Truly, I don't know whether to be offended or delighted.
