The Devil's Chord is quite underrated. It's considered the second worst of the series, but I think it's the second best. Way better than Boom which I never got the hype for. Devil's Chord is perfectly watchable and to be honest I like the dance number at the end.

When the 'best one' can only manage a rating of: 'very slightly less shit, but still basically shit', then such comparisons are pretty meaningless. In other words, I agree with Clockwork.

I wouldn't say it's all shit myself. I think three of the eight episodes range from good to fairly enjoyable. Legend of Ruby Sunday is still one of my favourite NuWho episodes and 73 Yards is, in my opinion anyway, a far superior Doctor-lite story than Turn Left. Devil's Chord is a fun runaround with some nice references thrown in. Unfortunately, Space Babies is arguably the worst episode ever made and Rogue isn't much better. I hate Boom as well. Dot and Bubble is a mixed bag made memorable by a solid ending, but that Lindy character just rubs me up the wrong way and Russell's insistance that an all white setting must equal racism is flawed.

And I'm not just saying all this to justify giving into my OCD impulses and actually buying the season on Blu ray despite complaining about the cost of classic Who blu rays. I'd NEVER do that. That would make me a right hypocrite.
