Madame Ching fumbles the ball and gets the whole situation going, showing a woman at fault, and a man saves the day., but of course he pegs it. The Thasmin romance was furthered, but it was Yaz being placed firmly in the 'zone while The Doctor reminded her she had a wife.
Editing/Directing/Sound design was utterly shambolic. You could'nt hear a thing Jodie said in some scenes. Bishop saw more action than Yaz, who kept a dour expression throughout void of charisma or energy. Sea Devils were well thought out, and the duel with The Doctor could have been cool if the camera had stayed fixed on Jodie instead of running scared from her everytime she used a sword.

while The Doctor reminded her she had a wife. But... River's surely done? Wasn't that the whole point of Husbands of River Song? The Doctor letting go of her?

I thought it was absolutely atrocious. The Sea Devils were utter crap. I agree about the sword fight being abysmal. Pertwee and Delgado on a tight budget did a sword fight really well, so how hard can it be to make it look good on film?
I also agree about Yaz being such a bore. Jesus Christ why does anyone ship her and the Doctor? What on earth makes her so special? I mean yeah Mandip's another big nosed beauty, but ffs lots of his companions have been gorgeous?
What makes this one so special? Even Rose whilst it was totally inappropriate to pair him with her, at least she was the first friend he had after the time war so I could see that maybe leading to a stronger connection. Clara meanwhile again I HATED, but at least they bigged her up to be the biggest companion in his life. What is there about this woman to make her stand out more than any other?

When it appeared, I did think the Skarasen-sized, razor-toothed sea beast might have been entended to be a CGI'd Myrka.

I haven't even seen the trailer for this episode, let alone realise it was airing.
I will watch the finale, however, for the sake of watching the regeneration...and my first ever Whittaker episode.

Not even then for me. I can watch 13 pop her clogs on YouTube nog long after. Why bother giving these c*nts any money. It’ll be shite anyway a big circle wank of how great Jodie is, how great nuwho is with some lip service to that shitty old show that we nicked the name of. f*ck you BBC, not even if it was the last Doctor Who episode ever.

WOW you've never been tempted out of morbid curiosity? You're a stronger person than me. I know you like RTD, and hey I have some affection for some of what he did too, but I honestly think he made a huge mistake taking this back for himself. It's a task of truly Herculian proportions to wrestle the public, never mind the fans back after Chinballs. Let us never forget though that it was Pissy Missy that led to all of this.

WOW you've never been tempted out of morbid curiosity? You're a stronger person than me. I haven't watched a full Jodie episode yet either. I attempted to watch the first one a year or so ago, but had to give up as soon as Jodie appeared acting like a moronic imbecile for fear of completely losing control and putting my boot through the screen. I've seen clips and that's about it. None of them have managed to persuade me that tuning out of the show was a mistake.

I've watched seven episodes in total, six of Series 11 and the 2021 New Year's special. I sat through the worst of the Capaldi era, but Jodie's rubbish was just too much for me. My sister and mum used to watch the series too but they don't anymore. Bloody sexists!

I admit, I was losing the will to keep watching during Capaldis second season, the third one peaked my interest a bit more and then his final insultingly abusive regeneration story finished me off for good, where I finally decided "f*ck you, good night and f*ck off" It was pretty obvious in Jodies opening scenes how she was going to play it and where the series was going and I decided I didn't have to watch such predictably moronic rubbish anymore just out of loyalty to a Classic Series which the NuWho production team obviously had nothing but outright contempt for.
