What about Glory from Buffy? She's hot and wild. I've found a nice picture of Clare Kramer's backside in a swimsuit. I'll consider using that  Honestly I've underrated Clare Kramer. All this time going on about Jadis and Alti who are both fab obviously, but Glory is one of the best and the most sexiest in a badass, terrifying way villains of all time. She made Spike a male character that every little boy and teenage boy that I knew growing up wanted to be into her little bitch and f*cked him up and she killed an entire army of knights with swords in about ten seconds and is the only foe to make Buffy flee apart from the Master. I do feel bad for the kids of today who don't have anywhere near as many badass female characters. The 90s/00s will always be the golden age for that. Now female villains in western media are usually some poor little Disney princess who was mistreated by a man and eventually gets empowered to stand up to him and meet a nice guy or become a lesbian LOL. Blaaaargh That's what I want from my female villains (and not just because of the erotic fantasies which I don't deny LOL. Like I said James Marsters must have had to go to the toilet in between filming those scenes with Glory.) We need more female counterparts to the Joker, Davros, the Daleks. Genuinely nasty pieces of shit you want to see get their just deserts. Ironically THAT is more empowering and something I reckon a lot of fangirls would rather see. |

Season 5 of Once Upon a Time is a sin against television. It absolutely is. Other than the Scottish babe, who even then was wasted it was absolute bollocks. Another thing I hate about these poor hard done to female villains is how easily they are forgiven. Again I can't stress enough this is NOT a "woman get off with it all the time and men don't n the real world." It's annoying because of all these insane MRA's you have to make that clear that's not what you think. In the real world there are many areas women get it far worse than men, obviously. Ironically part of why I hate that type of story telling because it talks down to women and reinforces that idea that women are delicate, simple little creatures who can't be judged to the same standard as men. Obviously I'm not saying that's what the writers of Once Upon A Time actually think, but it is a cliche that pops up all the time and definitely season 5 was the worst offender for that with Zelena, when we have her talking with Robin's son, whose dad she raped and whose mother she vaporized. The whole thing just felt like not one single writer was communicating with the others. In fact as I recall there are whole clues about Merlin's character that seem to go nowhere. Arthur randomly reappears near the end of the season so he could end up running the Underworld (  ). Rumple's heel turn is so laughably bad it should've cancelled the show. We never did get Dark Swan. I did like the episode where Dark Hook challenges Rumple to a duel, because it was somewhat of a decent callback and I could watch Colin O'Donoghue take the piss out of Robert Carlyle's acting forever  |

Whenever the show leaned into how ridiculous had become, it was at least mildly enjoyable, like the finale going completely insane and having the Wish Realm Rumple attack the entire multiverse.

Red Dwarf - Tikka to Ride (Extended and Remastered version) Watching the 37 minute version of the best episode of Series 7. It's a shame Naylor had to cut so much out. The ending where Lister gets stranded in space is hilarious and a better ending than the one we got. I do really enjoy this episode, but its characterisation of Lister is pretty bizarre. It's the sort of thing Rimmer would do if he doesn't get what he wants, not Lister. Also, it's another one of those stories that makes you wonder why they don't time travel to some acceptable version of Earth and just retire already. As a fellow curry obsessive I absolutely understand his behaviour. I'd probably do the same. I find it slightly odd that they could only travel from one period of deep space to another in Out of Time, but here they can now use the thing to travel back to Earth. |

Football day today. My heart says England, but my head says a 2-1 win for Spain. Who knows, I didn't even think we'd get to the Quarter Finals a few weeks ago. This England team has proved me wrong time and time again and I just hope they do it again tonight.
