I've watched pretty much all of pre Back to Earth Red Dwarf in the last month. The first six series are absolutely brilliant. Balance of Power, Thanks for the Memory, Queeg, Backwards, Timeslides, Holoship, Psirens, Legion and Out of Time are some of my favourites. I didn't like series 7 at all especially after Rimmer left, but series 8 was very funny and enjoyable despite a very weak finale. Looking forward to seeing Back to Earth and beyond soon. I've only ever seen "The Promised Land" when it comes to modern Red Dwarf episodes.

She Hulk. I checked this out because of bile fascination. I wanted to see if it was as bad as everyone makes out. I don't know maybe it's because my expectations were just so low, but it's not quite the disaster at least so far everyone has made it out to be. I just finished episode 3 last night. There are some absolutely dreadful moments of woke crap, like Jen's famous speech about dealing with mediocre white men, and guys online trashing her for being a woman, but there is at least a story to it. I have to say I enjoyed some of Emil Blonsky's redemption storyline. It's nowhere near as awful as Jodie era Who or Capaldi era Who, which guys like Nerdrotic let off the hook. I still wish they had cast Ingrid Oliver for She Hulk though, I mean fair enough I am kind of in love with Ingrid Oliver LOL, but still I think in this case we can agree she really looked the part. <img src=" " alt="" style="max-width:100%;"> What a missed opportunity! PS how cute does Osgood look. God damn! I mean cuteness personified! BTW the person who should have been torn to pieces over this show is Mark Ruffalo. He is honestly one of the worst actors I have ever seen in anything. I'm not exaggerating. How the hell does he keep getting work? I won't even call what he does acting as it really is that bad.

Okay I finished She Hulk and I take it back that it was just average. Dear god the last episode was without doubt one of the absolute worst pieces of trash I have ever seen in my life. f*ck me words can't describe it, but it really is up there with Jodie. I actually think guys like Nerdrotic weren't hard enough on it for that last episode.
What's even more funny is that for such a feminist tv show I've never seen anything more old fashioned and backward in its attitude towards men AND women.
Hmmm lets see She Hulk goes on about how there is nothing worse than a woman being single in her 30s and the worst thing she can be portrayed as, is a slut, Apparently if there is a bit of revenge porn about her shown in public, then people's attitude isn't what a shame for her, but that makes her look bad? Meanwhile the villains who hate women are all portrayed as nerdy, geeky guys who are frequently shamed as dorks. We all know that only nerdy guys hate women, because women hate all nerdy men for not being big tough cool guys.
Quite frankly that sounds like a f*cking Stefan Molyneux lecture! He constantly shames women who haven't married by the time they are 30 as hitting the wall, and he spreads toxic ideas about women only liking badboys. How is that any different to She Hulk? Both are absolute shit stirring poison to spit in the ears of young, vulnerable and isolated men and women especially after COVID. Honestly I'm glad it was axed as it shows that unlike what Moffat managed to do with with Missy among morons on Gallifrey Reddit and GB, the writers of this show couldn't just make an utterly shit product and bullshit and bully people with sexist accusations until they spinelessly said it was good.
Sorry Jameela Jamil, but this is utter shit. I don't know why she was proud to be part of it anyway? She was in it for all of two mins. I'm not joking. What a f*cking waste of a good actress. If I were here her I'd be prouder of Camp Creteceous. Not only was that an absolutely excellent tv show from start to finish, but Roxie was a better character, and had about 15 times more screen time and development too.
I'm so glad that Ingrid Oliver wasn't She Hulk now. She didn't need that on her CV along with Death in Heaven.

Watching, well, Watching, season 4 and who should turn up as Malcolm's new apprentice in his workshop than Russell Boulter, aka DS John Boulton! He's pretty much a regular this season. I had no memory of him being in this show. He's a bit of a twat, mind, trying to crack onto Brenda behind Malcolm's back!

Only Murders in the Building. Steve Martin and Martin Short are out of work old luvvies living in the same high rise apartment building, and both addicted to True Crime podcasts, as is their much younger neighbour Selena Gomez. But when another neighbour supposedly commits suicide, the trio become convinced they're in a real murder case. Saw the first two eps of this comic murder mystery series last night, and really enjoyed them. It's slightly more serious than I expected, which does give the murder mystery a bit more of an edge, which is good, but it's as much fun as you'd expect and it's really nice to spend some time with some old favourite faces in something new and good. I picked up a foreign Blu ray of this and if the quality keeps up will almost certainly order season 2.

The Good Place. Absolutely hysterical show. Can't recommend enough. I won't reveal too much so as not to spoil it, but it's definitely a 5/5 series.
I'm glad I gave Jameela Jamil a chance. Goes to show that you should never let petty politics get in the way of a true entertainer. Granted I never wanted to cancel her or anything, but I've grown to really like her as she is a good laugh.

Miami Vice - Bought and Paid For.
Rape, bribery, suicide and murder... just another episode of MV! This was great (I'd never seen it before) despite the heavy themes, which were handled very well I must say. DeBarge appears in the middle and plays "Rhythm of the Night" to lighten the mood.

Miami Vice - Out Where The Buses Don't Run
Considered the greatest episode of the show, Buses is an intriguing tale about an ex Vice cop who is obsessed with catching a criminal. His mental unstabilty doesn't go unnoticed by Crocket and Tubbs, but since he seems to be one step ahead of them they decide to go along with him. This leads to an extremely powerful and haunting final scene (set to Brothers in Arms by Dire Straits) where we discover that the ex cop had the skeletal remains of the criminal he was obsessed with catching behind a wall for years. It shocked me the first time. Mental health issues are always handled with care in this show and it leads to some of the best storylines. I really recommend this one.

Brigitte Nielsen was going to play She Hulk in the late 80s or early 90s. There's photos of her in costume online. It never happened for whatever reason.

Miami Vice - Heart of Darkness
Crockett and Tubbs infiltrate the Miami porn scene. Ed O'Neill plays an undercover FBI agent who may have succumbed to the pleasures of his new life style. I've not seen much of Married with Children, but the scenes I've seen with him in are very good. His performance is excellent in this.
Also appearing is Suzy Amis who would become the wife of James Cameron, no less. This is one of the very best episodes from Series 1 and has probably the best songs too. I'm really starting to see why people prefer the first two seasons. I watched an episode from Season 3 again briefly and it just isn't the same.
Anyway, top episode.

Miami Vice - No Exit The one with Bruce f*cking Willis. One of his earliest roles and he's superb. It's weird seeing him as a woman-beating arsehole rather than a hero, but he's great as both which shows his range as an actor. The episode itself is pretty solid with Phil Collins' "I Don't Care Anymore" being used near the climax. 7.5/10

X Files: Theef. A successful doctor and his family come under attack from hex magic by a man thirsty for vengeance. Season 7 was a bit of a dodgy season all told, but this really scary episode is definitely one of its highlights. The microwave scene is hard to forget!
