Started Minder again from series 1. Gunfight at the OK Laundrette lol. Classic show, such nostalgia. They're all dead now, FML.

Watching the Game of Thrones season 4 finale. I'm excited to see it all turn to shit, as it's been a pretty fantastic ride so far.

Watched the pilot episode of Miami Vice last night. Pretty good so far. Looks bootiful on Blu ray too! Where are you up to now?

The Simpsons - Season 19
You know what, this season isn't that bad. I mean I hate modern Simpsons a lot especially because they messed up Homer's character big time, but there's some decent episodes in this season. Dial "N" for Nerder is particularly fun as Nelson becomes Colombo in an attempt to find out who "killed" Martin. Of course, Bart is responsible for the prank that caused Martin to fall off a cliff and both he and Lisa struggle to come to grips with their guilt. Martin is obviously fine at the end but it's a cool episode all the same. Eternal Moonshine of the Simpson Mind is perhaps the best episode post 90s as Homer attempts to uncover the mystery of why he's lost his memory and why his family have left him. I Don't Wanna Know Why the Caged Bird Sings is OK and I had fun with Husband and Knives even if Jack Black's role is limited. I'm also pretty sure the new comic book store is never referenced again in the series. It has nothing on the Golden Age era, but Season 19 is when the show became briefly watchable again.

Watching Pretty Little Liars again lol. Y'know, I honestly didn't expect this show to be this rewatchable as some heavily serialised shows- like 24 - I find it tough to revisit. Then again, that might have something to do with 24 being utterly bleak and nihilistic while, for all the murder and mayhem, PLL is much warmer and funnier. Perhaps it's just that, as with most of the best TV shows, you just enjoy spending time with the characters.

Match of the Day.
Nothing better than watching the football before bed. Gary is a dickhead, though.

Mr.Bean. I'm big on Rowan at the moment. I've always found the TV show comforting. Not that much dialogue, early 90s feel, videotaped scenes, Rowan at his best as the relatable and clumsy Mr.Bean and lots of laughs. It's good fun.

I just watched one of the episodes of his new Man vs Bee series. Despite the amazing setup, it's not really all that great, but there's a few glimpses of Rowan's genius. There's a scene where he gets into a fancy futuristic shower that really cracked me up.

I'll watch that show when I get Netflix again. I've not heard great things about it, but the idea of it amuses me.

Just saw the penultimate Better Call Saul episode, and there's no doubt in my mind now that it's the best prequel ever written, and the second half of one big masterpiece franchise. Astonishingly well done. I cannot wait to see what Gilligan and Gould write next. They're the only writer/producer duo I am going to actively follow simply because I know that whatever they make will be 10/10 no matter what.

You just have to look at how different Blackadder and Mr Bean are to see that. I think Blackadder might be my fave of his though.

Maxil raises a point here, I have to say. TV shows used to be comforting. Now it's all doom and gloom and depressaville. Are there any comforting TV shows anymore?
