What a legend Giorgio Moroder is. I love the 1984 edit of Metropolis. In fact, it's the only version I watch.

The only version of the film I'm familiar with is the cleaned up iteration of the 150 minute original version. Moroder's catalogue is great, but it feels weird associating him with the film with that in mind. How many versions of the film have you seen, out of curiosity? Edit: I've just seen that the 1984 version is only 83 minutes long. Christ...

The 1984 version is very short although it still makes sense to me. It's more of an extended music video rather than anything else. Here's Maria's dance scene from the Moroder version. It may not work for others, but as an 80s fan its perfect to me. It's an alternate way to enjoy a classic.

One of the best songs from Miami Vice. Also from the greatest episode ever "Death and the Lady" which is American TV at its finest.

From one of Michael J Fox's best films. I watch it with my mum every three years or so. Helen Slater is just lovely.

From the cool 1987 sequel. Not my favourite BHC movie, but still an enjoyable sequel.

I love the mix of hip hop and orchestra at 1:50. Shame this was never released officially.
