Some idiot on facebook said that Chibnall is doing a stellar job considering how "bad" the classic show was in its later years. Get the f*ck out of here.

Personally I think Diamonds are Forever is the worst Bond film of the classic era. (Which for me is Dr No-View To A Kill.) Jill Saint John is one of the worst Bond girls. She's like Peri in Mark of the Rani, IE they are making her deliberately stupid to wind up women's libbers. Charles Grey though a good actor, is awful as Blofeld. He's camp, silly, and doesn't look the part at all. Also Blofeld's scheme is unoriginal, boring and bland, and worst of all there isn't even a mention of Tracy after the great set up in On Her Majesty's Secret Service. There's also no memorable action or stunt scenes like you'd expect from a Bond movie. (Even the way Bond disposes of Blofeld is pretty underwhelming and stupid.) Mr Wint and Mr Kidd meanwhile are the worst hench villains in the classic era (and possibly of all time.) They are a cliche from the Flemyng novels, where Flemyng tended to have his villains be homosexuals and as a result, creepy and perverted. It's not as pronounced in the film, but still it's a dated and uncomfortable portrayal of homosexuals, and the actors are both terrible and descend into parody at certain points. Really there is nothing of value in the film at all for me. Even Sean Connery looks past it, and is going through the motions at that point. Goldeneye meanwhile has big Fam. You got to admit regardless of whatever else the film has going for it, Famke Janssen in Goldeneye is one of the sexiest film villains of all time. Really she's only topped by Famke Janssen in I Spy. "Jill Saint John is one of the worst Bond girls." I disagree. She's one of the sexiest Bond girls ever. She just oozes 70s sex appeal especially in that bikini. Jill is also a great actress and has an independence to her too. The character is sassy and although she's a bit dim-witted at times I still think she's a good Bond girl. So is Plenty O'Toole although that's for a different reason completely lol. Man, the girls were SO hot in this film! "there isn't even a mention of Tracy after the great set up in On Her Majesty's Secret Service." OHMSS didn't feature Connery nor did it do as well at the box office as some of the other Bond films. The producers probably wanted to wipe their hands of it as quickly as possible so they made Diamonds a stand alone adventure without any references to the previous films. It's a shame I admit, but I understand it. "There's also no memorable action or stunt scenes like you'd expect from a Bond movie." The lift fight between Bond and Franks is brutal. I also like the exciting car chase in the streets of Vegas. The assault on the oil rig is pretty cool too if not as good as the fight in OHMSS. "Mr Wint and Mr Kidd meanwhile are the worst hench villains in the classic era (and possibly of all time.)" Again I disagree. They're wonderful villains. They have some of the best lines in the film and they're menacing. Remember they drown an old woman then try and burn Bond alive. "Really there is nothing of value in the film at all for me." I think the music is one of Barry's best scores and I honestly love the campiness of it. It features two of the hottest Bond girls ever, a great setting in Las Vegas and a cool car chase too. It's a shame people don't like it as much, but I just think it's one of the most enjoyable entries in the series. I used to love Diamonds Are Forever as a kid, it was like a parody of 70s trashy Las Vegas glamour rather than a Bond film. Loved the moon buggy and the Americans' bemused reactions to 007. But why does St John's character have an IQ drop of about 50 points in the last act of the film?

I still love Diamonds. It's definitely trashy and a bit smutty too, but I think it's great fun. Lana and Jill are the sexiest Bond girls of all time although it's true the character of Tiffany gets dumber as the movie goes on.

Had the bad luck of seeing the trailer Legend of the Sea Devils by accident today.
I was unimpressed to say the least, in fact my first though was "what is this crap" befor it finally sank in that this was Doctor Who.
I'd rather watch Underworld again thanks

I was unimpressed to say the least, in fact my first though was "what is this crap" befor it finally sank in that this was Doctor Who. I'd rather watch Underworld again thanks Suffice to say that my interest in this is absolutely minimal. I never bothered with the latest Dalek special, and I doubt I’ll be going anywhere near this one either. Beyond an admittedly OK Sea Devil redesign (albeit one which benefits from being starkly similar to the 1972 original), there’s no reason to expect anything from this. More gurning, unintelligibly facile plotting, poorly scripted dialogue with colloquial “hip” stereotypes and a complete disregard for the audience’s intelligence is all this’ll consist of. I ought to have taken the hint ages ago that watching a series I can no longer abide is masochistic by design, so I reckon I’ll give this something of a wide berth...

Those kinds of arguments rarely list actual examples, do they? It’s such a lazy generalisation on every level. As if Full Circle, State of Decay, Warriors Gate, Kinda, Earthshock, Mawdryn Undead, Enlightenment, Caves of Androzani, Varos, The Two Doctors, Revelation, Remembrance, Greatest Show, Ghost Light and Curse of Fenric all pale in comparison to the likes of Arachnids “Are Ya Ed Sheeran” in the UK, Orphan 55, Fugitive of the Judoon and The Timeless Bollocks.

No surprise. In spite of Jodie shooting up my list of crushes because of her beautiful, sensual singing voice, which coupled with her HUGE nose has enchanted me. Flux was absolute shit. Chinballs attempts to try and ditch the political crap and write a proper sci fi story, only to discover that tragically, whipping people up over PC nonsense was all he had. Without that he's just got bland, boring unoriginal crap.
