Doctor Who fandom has become notorious for being less of a fandom and more of an obnoxious, creepy cult at this stage.
Which forum however do you think is the worst?
I've narrowed it down to the following three, but please by all means share your experiences with these c*nts.
Planet Skaro
I only had a brief encounter with this forum. It was still a deeply unpleasant experience. First they made a borderline racist comment about me being Scottish, told me I needed therapy, and then when I responded, banned me for being a "a stupid prick." I will say though that at the very least once they realised I was "unmutual" they just banned me rather than continue to abuse me.
Anoraks
I think these guys are the worst examples of the cowardice of Doctor Who fandom. They aren't even NuWho sycophants. They are just a bunch of middle aged saddos so terrified of looking right wing, they will support the most shallow, neo liberal forms of left wing politics like the SJWs, hence why they all dogpilled on and demonised and eventually banned me.
What makes it even worse is that these c*nts are actually sexist themselves. It says a lot when our old friend Ludders/Wayne who generally despises me, quits in disgust over their hypocritical treatment of me. I post that DW bowed to the pressure of a group of shallow political activists and post links to back it up, and they call me a sexist and ban me. They meanwhile make vile posts about members of Little Mix being fat, ugly and not f*ckable and that's okay?
Gallifrey Base
Does it need said? They truly are like the Family from The Omega Man. They all think the same, and they love to gang up on people, hurl the most vicious insults and smear you if you don't agree. They are such insane SJWs, yet also unbelievable hypocrites. I honestly think that my encounters on GB made my depression worse to be honest. Looking at it hindsight, I'm not saying it was the cause. I obviously have issues, but being told constantly that I am a freak, a piece of shit, a disgusting human being, and having to defend myself against 12 people constantly who are saying I despise women, I'm a sad c*nt that nobody likes who should just f*ck off, or being told to kill myself. It really wasn't a pleasant experience.
What I think really tips them into being the worst however is the way they tried to spread a lie about Bowlestrek raping a dog. Quite frankly that takes them into the area of the Federation from Blake's 7! It's the same principle. Let's spread a rumour about someone so vicious that even just the possibility of it being real will make people not want to associate with them. Absolutely disgusting and frightening behaviour that should make anyone not want to associate with Doctor Who fandom.

GB is the undisputed King of online c*ntery. Anoraks aren't as cool as they think they are. I don't know Skaro. I think I may have joined once (if I'm thinking of the right one) but it was full of the usual 80s bashing/JNT should have been drowned at birth brigade, and I really couldn't be jacked arguing with that sort of thing en masse. The only other one I bother with than here is PM. Most of the others I've been banned from for not being a braying sheep/having a sense of humour anyway.

It's an awesome forum. So much fun and everybody is so sweet there.

I left quite an impression on Anorak in the 2000s and early 2010s during my last two stays there....granted back then I was an insufferable NuWho fanboy who got on everybody's nerves, so I don't blame them for booting me. I was well on my way to a nervous breakdown around that time period, and once I went through it, I gradually improved my behaviour.
I came back a third time a few years ago, and things so far have been peaceful, they either haven't sussed me out or they're OK with me being back. I also satay out of their political or "I would" kind of threads and only focus on threads concerning the show, or old tv, or pro wrestling. I love Hayde over there and his stories of watching WWE with his kids.
Planet Mondas is alright, I had a brief mod status there but they demoted me after I censored the posts of another mod, rofl. I sometimes do get worn down by all the Jodie and Nu Who bashing (some of it is deserved, sometimes it most certainly isn't) but they're good eggs and are always an active and lively bunch
Never been to Planet Skaro
Gallifrey Base is the worst, but I find I get a lot more 'likes' on my posts than I do immature laughing or angry emojies. I must either make a case reasonably well or they like my sense of humour. I'm actually friends with a couple of J-Bots there.
I'm sorry, I'm probably veering a bit off course by spinning my experiences as positive ones. There's been plenty of times all of these forums upset me.

Well personally I hate forums where people get thrown out after their first post and not even having done anything, but then that's just me!
What I like about it here is that we've had the Rani's, the Flynn's and the Toilet Men to balance out those of us who largely despise the new show, and for all the turmoil the Hive has been thru that hasn't changed.

"Worst Doctor Who Forum"? This one of course. It's a pile of shit. Buts it’s our pile of shit, and we rather like it. To be honest I looked at GB and just nopped the fokk out. I don’t like forums that don’t let not members at least look around the site a little e joining. A massive red flag. Good thing my instincts were right. I wouldn’t touch the others with a barge pole given how they’ve treated burrunjor and other members of the hive. I also do not like getting dog piled on just for voicing my opinion or saying something that not popular but not actually nasty or evil. I’ll even admit when I’m wrong but if I’ve wasted to much time talking to people who are brick walling all attempts at a dialog or resort to personal attacks. So why bother going to a site that’s going to, at least by reputation, just be hell.

GB for me. I object that the forum is run by a yank. This is a British property, and thus you will have many British people want to discuss it. This results in British humour and banter, but these ignorant f*ckers do not understand that and ban you for simply using the humour in the style of your culture. They even pull us up for using British phrases which they either don't understand or object to. I got modded for using "fags" clearly in the context of smoking. f*cking c*nts.

Oh my god I can believe that fag story as not only are the mods there hypocritical, power mad cultists, but they are also flat out stupid too. As for the Bowlestrek fiasco, someone created a false written interview with Chibnall, where Chibbers said that Bowlestrek had been in jail for raping a dog. It was complete lies and fabrication, but Gallifrey Base as well as the lunatics on twitter like Dimmeh Looming ( a friend of Mr Tardis) all decided to spread the rumour anyway. I even told several of them not too, and they admitted to me that they knew it was a lie, but felt he deserved it after his behaviour. Like I said it was deeply terrifying. Those type of rumours could destroy his life, lead to him not being hired or even make him a target of vigilantes. I've always said that these fanatics don't know how serious it is to randomly call someone a misogynist and a racist, but even I could have never imagined that they'd think it wasn't a big deal to smear someone as a sexual deviant. That showed me how terrifying the DW fandom is nowadays and how it is best avoided. People think I go easy on Claudia Boleyn because I like her personally, but Claudia has NEVER done anything like that. She is just someone you disagree with, who you might get frustrated with at times, but dear god I'd imagine she would be horrified at that just like the rest of us. To be honest even normal SJWs like Claudia Boleyn I reckon have left DW fandom due to shit like this now. Gallifrey Base are so toxic they have driven everyone away. It's why I think it's important to not just write DW off as a fandom that went to the SJWs like Star Trek or Star Wars. Yes obviously that is part of it, but it's also the creepy cult like following the show had before with all of Paul Cornell's "bend the knee, do your followers know that." That has created a uniquely awful cocktail of toxicity. Oh and btw Mr Tardis the guy who went on a massive rant about how toxic fans like Nerdrotic had driven the mainstream audiences away, also tweeted about and laughed at the rumours about Bowlestrek, calling him a drama queen for being upset over them. Nice.

I'm sorry, I'm probably veering a bit off course by spinning my experiences as positive ones. There's been plenty of times all of these forums upset me. Planet Mondas is great. I like Liz and Cygnus the best. They are very friendly, affable and laid back. I agree though that it's just harder to get into Planet Mondas, ironically probably because it's a bigger forum so you don't get to know people as well. (I do admit it's also less laid back than this one, in that it does limit your posts. I wouldn't be able to post this bit about other forums on there for instance, but to be fair they also don't let the SJWs rant about how sexist Moff is, so it is even handed in that regard.) Planet Skaro meanwhile is well named. It's mods are pretty much as fair, even handed and welcoming of different opinions as Davros. "Now I will order and you will obey. YOU WILL OBEY!" As for Anoraks, I don't care how unreasonable you think you were in 2010. Trust me on this. They would have been worse. They are just such hypocrites and so cowardly too, I struggle to think of any way you could have been more unreasonable. I'm sure some of the posters would have been okay, but overall they are cliquey c*nts. No matter how even handed and reasonable I was about Moffat pandering to the SJWs, they'd nuke my comments into oblivion, gang up on me and call me a sexist. Like I said this was made even worse by their threads about Little Mix being fat and ugly and unshaggable, one of them having nigger in his profile, etc. Clearly they don't give a damn about actual feminism, or progressive politics in the slightest. They are just middle aged sad sacks who are scared of being seen as right wing daily mail readers, which in their shallow minds, complaining about obvious political pandering in the series is. Meanwhile bullying young women for their looks isn't as again in their shallow minds that's probably just them being jack the lads and funny. It really does make you want to be sick. Saying an actress like Michelle Gomez did a horrendous job playing the Master, and was only cast as a cheap, shallow headline grabbing PC gesture is utterly unreasonable, but talking about a young singer being too fat to stick your dick in is really gentlemanly. f*ck them. I hope their forum collapses under its own hypocrisy.

Basically all shit forums fall into either 1 of 2 categories(or sometimes both):
1. Deadly dull agreeable borefests with cliquey elitism or 2. Control freakery wankfests for over-zealous mods and admins
I've been member of a fair few forums and been booted off a good many too, some of the biggest turn-offs some of which are noted prior to this post are:
Private forums with zero public viewing: Who the hell wants to sign up to something they can't even sample? It immediately advertises "cliquey weirdos" or "not much activity going on here"
Corporate facing over-sized boards: There's nothing worse than a million sections with a trillion sub-categories to choose so you have to spend half an hour trying to decide even where your post should even go in a jungle of options just to then have it modded out again and being patronized for being a noob afterwards.
Just as much as zero post tumbleweed territory boards are duller than dishwater, the boards with too much activity are usually the ones with cliquey dogpiles and over zealous modding, it's hard to find a happy medium and balance.
The board I think I disliked the most was Rhubarbs, basically any board where they all gush over shite like "Partners In Crime" like it's "Seeds of Doom" or "Caves of Androzani" and dissenting opinion on that is frowned upon has got to be run by mentally unbalanced people, but ALL boards have their frustrating flaws, this one being no exception either.(I hate the way two expletives had to be censored in the swear filter on the command of the board hosts, the cruddy advertising and the fact we don't have full adult freedom here. The navigation is a bit clunky too and the lack of a good lol/like button is a pisser too)
The best boards I've been on is where you're not even aware there are mods or an admin even present, conflicting opinions and arguments can rage naturally and usually where there is a small but very active community. The best two which come to mind are TVZone(I think it was called that anyway) and the original Redux, although Logopolis Metropolis and early Hive also had their moments.
Anoraks wasn't bad once upon a time, it was basically the Hive but without the swearing, but last time I looked they seemed to have fallen into the private mode and corporate jungle malarky which just made me think "meh". I didn't recognize as many posters there either unless they'd all changed their handles.
At some stage when I've got the bloody time, I'd like to look into adult board hosting for a board where posters have complete free reign.
