I’m honestly neither surprised by this outcome, nor do I have any sympathy for the Democrats at all. When you spend four years spending more money on proxy wars and genocidal regimes- using Ukrainians and Russians as cannon fodder and thousands of Palestinian kids as target practise for Israel- at the expense of funding education, healthcare and housing (on which people rely as their lifelines), people are going to look elsewhere. Especially when the Democrats actively avoided discussing any of these issues in their campaign, instead wheeling out despised Bush-era War Hawks Liz and Dick Cheney and amplifying identity-politics related rhetoric to the extreme. Michelle Obama’s pre-election speech- in which she merely characterised two-party disillusionment as “your rage” (ostensibly characterising right *and* left dissent as animalistic or vengeful, and only performed by male voters)- was a prime example of such clueless condescension. The Exit Polls demonstrate that the economy took far greater precedence in people’s voting decisions than immigration (33% to 11%). The US electorate aren’t, as such, swayed by Trump’s arch-reactionary social platform, but are desperate for at least something to change. Simply engaging in coercive politics and shaming people for voting for any alternative (not least Jill Stein’s Green Party, as was repeatedly the case) without offering a compelling programme of your own does not provide a model by which to improve people’s lives. If you only offer neoliberalism, “positive vibes” and vacuous platitudes at the expense of offering the working-class a materially beneficial programme, you give Trump a gaping social vacuum by which he can thrive and falsely claim to offer alternatives. To combat Trump’s ilk- and the intellectual and moral vacuum he represents- the opposition needs to explicitly oppose establishment corruption, address working-class difficulties and offer a wide-reaching community-based alternative. You can’t combat insurgent right-wing populism with establishment condescension. The latter only fuels the former. An excellent summation, Bernard. Have a sugar lump. |

Ukraine has just launched its first long-range missile strike into Russia, after being green lit by Biden. As such, Russia has begun producing mobile nuclear shelters to protect civilians from nuclear explosions. We’ve now reached the stage in which nuclear war is being countenanced.
Trump’s opposition seems to want to start a Third World War before he gets in. This is f*cking terrifying.

Indeed it's depressing that much like 2016 our only hope to avoid an atomic war is f*cking Donald J Trump. I also don't want to hear any stupid liberal mention Jan 6 again. Yeah Trump threw a bit of a hissy fit that led to a march that got out of hand because he lost, but the Dems are risking the complete destruction of the world to sabotage him they're such sore losers. Biden and the Dems remind me of Jadis actually. I don't know if you've read my previous posts about her LOL or if they just blend together with the Claire Stansfield and Big Fam ones of another tall, scary woman, but basically she loses the civil war with her sister and just as her sisters men are about to march on the castle, she activates a spell which destroys all life on the planet apart from her. Of course this got no coverage from the MSM compared to the Trump accusations. Again not saying Trump is innocent, but it does show you the double standard from the media as Biden has more accusations against him that way than the Donald. PS I know PJW is an arsehead, but this is just clips of Biden being revolting. |
