...not that there's much to extrapolate.
But it was nice to hear Bowie.

Bit of a meh trailer, though the Bowie music is quite good.
I think I'll enjoy the stories, it's just...there's not much emphasis on a monster threat in this, just a lot of "emotional" or whimsical reaction shots of Ncuti and Millie. I know someone on another forum who praised the 'whimsy', me? I got the most excitement out of seeing the Moffat episode highlighted (Ncuti on the landmine while Ruby fires the gun), everything else on the other hand definitely has that typical disneyfied RTD energy.

I've made my own edit of trailer that filters out all the rubbish bits. I think it's quite an improvement. Let me know what you think.

I liked the Dinosaurs aaaaaaannnnd that was it. I did get a dose of nostalgia when someone posted a picture of the Dinosaur book from the 70s that I got a copy of when I was a child in the 90s. Anyone got any other pictures to upload here I'd love to see those.

Hold on a minute? That song is time can change me, but I can't trace time? I always thought it was but I can't change time? Is this the Mandela effect?

Bowie's Changes was used to excellent effect in the finale of Life on Mars.
Which only served as a reminder that I could've been watching an infinitely better series. (That and at this rate Phillip Glenister/Gene Hunt would've made a better Doctor.)

Phillip Glenister/Gene Hunt would've made a better Doctor. Imagine how good he'd have been in Twin Dilemma. It'd fix the the whole strangulation issue for fans of a "sensitive nature". He'd have duffed her in instead...

Like burrunjor, I was "yay dinosaurs" for that one shot but that was it.
It somehow looks more silly then the stupid crap we've been getting from nuwho the last few years, like that bit with the Tardis skidding, it's not just worse stories were likely to get but the bigger budget means they can now show stupider stuff as well. It makes me wish the show didn't have good budget again just to stop them doing stupid shit and makes me apricate just how much the classic era could accomplish on practically nothing.
Gatwa, I'm shore he's fine in other role but from what I see here, he's a terrible choice for the Doctor. We mock how nuwho dumbed down the Doctor's character and dialog befor, Gatwa really dose sound like just some random millennial hipster. And I though Jodie's slang was eye roll worthy. I do like the idea that he changes his costume for the time period, but I can't help but feel that this highlights just how instantly dated the character's normal outfit and characterisation is, ala Jodie. Even Tennant looks timeless compared to these two.
I expect this more "magic" type of stories gimmick will be poorly implemented, irritating and sadly thanks to the Disney money won't get punted out the door next season when the rating drop further.

I seem to recall comparisons previously being drawn here between the current mess and Lenny Henry's Doctor Who sketches. Frankly, and i'm being deadly serious here, Gatwa makes Henry look not only viable but actually desirable. And that was meant to be a spoof..!

Jury is out for me, regarding Gatwa.
I felt the same for his first episode as I did for Chris and David's debut episodes.
That is, the actors showcasing the range they would like to offer the show, and take it from there.
Throughout Gatwa's first episode, all I saw was an actor shopping for character traits. Some moments were great, some just felt like him playing a version of himself, and some of it was just blindly throwing darts at the wall.
