All my instincts tell me that Moffat is an insufferable c*nt. And he's such a smug prick in interviews that my contempt for him has always been of a slightly higher level than the other two. But with Davies' recent form, it's a battle on for prize wanker. I have slightly less contempt for Chibnall because he just comes across as an imbecile trying to follow in the others footsteps somehow. He doesn't seem malicious, just brainwashed and stupid. As for Moffat, if he gets any kind of come uppance, I'll be pleased, but it'll never be enough.

There certainly were bad rumours of Moffat being a diva during Matt's time and that Matt even allegedly quit over them. These same rumours also said that series 8 was barely completed at the time Matt quit (this was early 2014) and that they had to press on with poorly written, half finished scripts that most of the production team weren't behind. Given the state of series 8 I can believe that it was a rush job at least.
It should be noted there were rumours of Capaldi having blazing rows with Moffat in series 8, and Tom Baker also describes a bad atmosphere on the set of the 50th, stating that nobody even spoke with him and the thing was so toxic he wanted to leave, with it only being Matt who convinced him to stay. (He also said that Matt was the only one who went to meet him, during the entire shoot.)
Also whilst Rushy is right that Matt and Karen have stayed close, I don't think I've seen Matt and Moffat at a single event together since 2013? Then there's also the fact that he hasn't reprised the role in any medium since, despite clearly loving it and being a regular at conventions and even bonding with other Doctors and companions.
That said however remember that Tom might have been just his usual wanting the spotlight on him self. Also I think Tom does have a tendency to exaggerate at times for the sake of a good story. Meanwhile the other rumours about Moffat DID come during the time it was trendy to bash him. Also plenty of his other actors like Karen Gillan (who is about to star in a new show he's written) Jenna Coleman, Sophia Myles etc have remained very close to him. He and Capaldi also appear to be on speaking terms too, and have been seen at events together, with Capaldi's bitterness it seems stemming more from how he was treated in terms of being fired (which is on Chibs, not Moffat.)
Meanwhile Moffat I think can come over as a bit of a dick at times, but to be fair no more than any other conceited fanboy. He absolutely can be extremely prickly when it comes to criticism, but again can't we all? I think he is willing to take his lumps and admit when he's f*cked up more too, being the only showrunner who has admitted when he feels his stories went wrong like the end of the Angels two parter. Also for what it's worth when I brought up NPH, Moffat was the only one who didn't block me out of him, RTD and Paul Cornell (both of whom deleted my comments.) He definitely saw my comment, but left it there, acknowledging that the showrunners were being hypocrites in constantly bumming about themselves being progressives.
I still am pissed at Moff as I DO think he sold the show out as it were by going along with all the woke crap, and yeah he has been an industry suck up ever since, but to be fair to him and this is a damning but true view of the industry. Most would probably do the same. Look at how quickly the classic era writers and actors have been quick to denounce their version, with Louise Jameson saying that "Bob Holmes could have been the RTD of his day." UGH.
Most of them probably just don't want the hassle and are quite laid back and go along with it. It's a shame but that's how they get you.
That said I don't know Moffat and maybe some of the rumours of him being a dick are true. I try and take as I find with him.

It could have easily been a tired second unit that worked with Tom

It could have easily been a tired second unit that worked with Tom Absolutely, but like I said Tom can be a bit of a fantasist. He once claimed that he killed Jon Pertwee. Jon in Tom's words was insufferably mean with money, and Tom joked that he turned down a voice over gig for 50 thousand pounds as that was an insult, and he said Jon Pertwee who he made sure overheard was both shocked he turned it down and angry that he was getting paid that much to such an extent it gave him his fatal heart attack LOL. Needless to say whilst I always enjoy Tom's stories, yeah I don't put a lot of faith in them. There was another one I seem to recall he told that he bought a grave decades ago, and when someone passed by it they said "oh what a shame Tom Baker's dead I really liked him." And Tom who was at the grave pretended to be a mourning relative of Tom Baker, as by that stage he was old and grey, so the other guy didn't recognise him. Tom reportedly had a convo for five minutes with this guy about what a shame it was about poor Tom. As the other guy left the grave however he saw him talk with someone else who obviously told him the truth, and he then gave Tom a glare which Tom tried to laugh off. The next time when Tom went to visit his grave however, he saw it had been vandalised with someone carving over it "here lies a lying arse."

They know they've got a disaster on their hands, and are doing their best to be able to obfuscate the numbers as much as possible.

It probably sounds prudish but encouraging kids to stay up well past midnight on a regular basis seems very remiss and can't do any good for their sleep hygiene, which is crucial for proper development.

Russel also is encouraging fans to stay up at midnight to best experience part one of this year's finale

I stay up till midnight or 01:00 am to watch Ultraman live because it's a show that good and doesn't treat it's fans like scum.
Why would I do that for a show that dose the opposite.
I also agree no responsible parent will let there kids stay up that late just for a TV show.

I recommend insomniacs giving it a watch if they can't sleep. Might solve their problems...
