Loud, flashy, style-over-substance bollocks. Where's the hook? Which part of this trailer is supposed to intrigue, entice or clue an uninitiated viewer into what this show even is? That is literally all Davies can do. He's a shallow one-trick pony.

My contempt for them is partly a reflection of the contempt they hold for bona fide fans. All UK Who fans should cancel their TV licenses if they are in a position to do so.

it's like this version of the show causes brainrot for viewers and producers alike. Maybe NuWho is an eldritch entity corrupting us all on multiple planes of existence.

Also, if this is now the bar for "A whole new level of insane greatness" then doesn't JNT merit a retroactive award for 1985..?

Well he is an extraordinarily massive wanker. We're talking off the chart..... But to be fair to him, he does it with such limited materials...

Well he is an extraordinarily massive wanker. We're talking off the chart..... Caroline Skinner, Peter Capaldi and (very likely) Matt Smith ought to publicly back this up eventually, even if it only happens after this sodding series disappears. At some stage, I can see him receiving the same treatment Eccleston recently dished out to Davies…

At some stage, I can see him receiving the same treatment Eccleston recently dished out to Davies… Nah, that's just wishful thinking. What happened there was an explosive combination of Davies being grossly negligent, and Eccleston being particularly spiky. You can't duplicate that. At best, Capaldi might admit to not liking Moffat's scripts. But I don't see anything much more devastating happening. Everyone from the Pond era seem very close. Smith still talks about returning in some distant future. EDIT: What I mean is that even if Moff is genuinely an arrogant prick IRL, there is no motivation for any of them to bring this to light. They're show business veterans who know that sometimes you deal with difficult people. Moff AFAIK hasn't done anything actually harmful the way Davies did/does to warrant this kind of 'expose'.

With all due respect, this is partly hyperbole (as is common in my exchanges here- and indeed that of many others) and ultimately speculation- I am not necessarily making an equivalence between the two showrunners. It’s a possibility, but not a certainty as with Davies. This is indeed a distinction worth clarifying. Likewise, I don’t “wish” for Moffat to have been a twat. However, the suspicious circumstances around Smith suddenly announcing his departure after wanting to carry on for years, and Moffat’s absurd (and largely hushed up) denunciation of Caroline Skinner- “YOU ARE ERASED FROM DOCTOR WHO!”- at least render it a possibility worth pondering on.

Moffat: "Good"..?? You're meant to say it's been "Great"..!!" Caroline Skinner: "Sorry, are we talking about the programme or you..?" Moffat: "YOU ARE ERASED FROM DOCTOR WHO..!!!"
