At this point I just want them to release the rest of the collection sets and f*ck off. They have nothing else left to offer.

Viewers are 4,62 million for that episode and Ncuti Gatwa's first story. I'm not sure, but I think that is the lowest they have ever been for a first Doctor story? Even with the fiddled viewers, this will be lucky to scrape above 6 million. Like I said in the viewers thread, 6 million is worrying, whilst 4 million is crisis point. Either way it's not a good sign for the quadruple whammy of, a big American star (or so they think), the 60th anniversary special, David Tennant's finale, the first of a new Doctor. I mean how does an episode like that not get 10 million ffs? Moffat must be laughing his f*cking arse off at this stage. It's dead boys. We'll get two more series only because RTD insisted back when he had pull, but honestly. DW is toast. A part of me wonders if Ncuti's last series will just be tucked away in the summer death slot like Primeval series 5 was?

Incidentally on the subject of gay actors to play the Doctor and the Master, Nickolas Grace another gay actor would have been f*cking amazing as the Master, especially opposite Tim Curry as the Doctor. Sorry Rushy but oh dear god would he have been a thousands times better than the heterosexual John Simm. He did the calm, manipulative, but really vicious, petty and nasty villain so perfectly when he was the Sheriff of Nottingham, and unlike other Masters I think he would have brought something new to it by being a massive bitch LMFAO. That was the most hilarious thing about his Sheriff was how much of a bitch he was. The insult "posturing catamite" was one he threw at his rival. who to be fair WAS extremely camp and gay. Still what a f*cking cheek for the Sheriff to throw that insult at him, as the Sheriff was strongly implied to be gay. Again he wasn't jumping on dance clubs kind of a gay, but he is shown to be repulsed at the idea of marrying a woman, and has his young MALE servant scrub his back LOL. Still despite the fact that he is gay, he is still going to throw that insult around because he really is that much of a bitch! (Also catamite within the gay world is an insult as it means a young man that is the boytoy of someone in power, so it's basically a way of saying you're the cuck, bottom of the relationship LMFAO. The Sheriff's bitchiness knows no bounds.) I'd have loved to have seen what he'd have done with the Master, and again opposite Tim Curry as the Doctor it would have been hilarious, because they both look EXACTLY alike. Grace Curry Seriously they could be twins! Must be a gay or bi look. That would probably get too confusing for the viewers. Still again both would have been perfect for those roles and neither would have been written as flaming stereotypes dancing on tables topless, calling everybody honey, or darling, kissing every man near to them, or wandered around in their underpants! I just can't believe how badly RTD stereotyped the first gay Doctor? After all his shit of getting rid of stereotypes with Davros? Obviously I'm not saying that you can't have flaming stereotypes on tv btw. I mean they DO exist, I've even known a few and they've always been really charming, funny guys. Still obviously that is a problem when all gay men are portrayed that way, and oh dear god when you have a character like the Doctor, who is a very sexless, professorial, grandfatherly character, and you still turn him into a sexualized "posturing catamite" in a gay club, that is awful rep as it makes it look like that's what a gay actor playing the role will always do and that's what a gay character always has to be. Like I said before, when you add his stereotype of a gay Doctor with his encouraging John Barrowman's antics, Torchwood and its insane oversexualisation, his jokes about chasing the young male nurse in a retirement home when he's older, and Queer as Folk that portrayed gay men as predators and rabid misogynists, RTD is a serious blight on gay representation. If I were gay I'd f*cking hate him.

What the f*ck did I just watch?
Ok, let me air my biggest beef. I don't need some assf*ck like RTD to push this "be careful what you say around disabled people" shit. He doesn't care. He really doesn't. "Oh look, I made a ramp for the Tardis, aren't I so progressive."
If a writer really wanted to show support for the disabled community, rather than playing word police, THEY'D f*ckING WRITE ABOUT HOW MANY DISABLED PEOPLE DIED SINCE IAN DUNCAN SMITH'S REFORMS TOOK PLACE. Hundreds, possibly into the thousands of British disabled people have died due to mistreatment, sanctions, abuse, and an increase in hate crime all caused by this government. And the British media refuses to report on it. IF YOU WANT TO HELP US RUSSEL YOU c*nt, WRITE ABOUT THAT.
Remember folks, the reason I left the UK was I lost might sight, couldn't get a job, and was beaten up in town with my own white stick whilst being called "scrounger" and "faker", all of which came from IDS's anti disabled rhetoric.
Words hurt, but that is all they are. The big issue is the public allowed this to happen, and the media ignored it. THAT is what any true writer and supporter of disability rights should be pushing. Not this woke BS, which frankly will just annoy people and make the insults worsen.

Completely agreed and in actual fact there could be a good sci fi story in that, having a race that is culling its disabled and those deemed no longer fit for purpose.

What would have been needed is a Doctor Who that distinguishes itself from the Chibnell era. The problem is that RTD2 just looks too much like the Chibnell era. The Chibnell era being a poor parody of RTD1. The old show survived on radical change. The new show never changes, never ever questions itself. So people are just sick of it. Humans can only put up with so much repetition.
Why is Doctor Who having an adult take so repellent to them? I believe Christopher Nolan was quite successful with his Batman series. 18 years in to Nupoo, not a sign of it. Still, let us celebrate, the Fitzroy is no longer a pub, it's a sinking ship.

Hi Guys, sorry I've not be around to chat but I'm just soooo done with this that I keep forgetting it's even being broadcast.
I only even realised because of a clip on YouTube. It's the one we're the Doctor asks the Toymaker why he uses his power to play games and not for good, a question that was answered far better in Nightmare Fair years ago.
The Toymaker dose what he dose because he has done good, and evil, and got bored with both. He plays childish games because it means that on some level there is a risk me may lose.
I'm glade I didn't watch it. He's really just another Loki/Joker ripoff who ignores what made the character a recurring favourite for years.

Expect RTD's human fanfare to turn on the general public very shortly. The same public with their moronic viewing decisions they couldn't praise enough in the 2000's.

Just checked it is the lowest rated opener for any new Doctor in the shows 60 plus years. Even Time and the Rani got more for its first episode with 5.1 million.
It's toast.

You know I hate to say it, but he is a more embarrassing ambassador for the show than even Jodie. At least Jodie was doing a bad Tennant/Matt Smith impression. I don't know what the hell this is meant to be.

I can't really say too much about The Giggle, because I only saw parts of it (and that was under duress) but what I did watch seemed very predictable - very RTD. It was a big, showy, camp, self-indulgent mess, with loads of stuff recycled from previous NuWho episodes ( particularly 'The Last Of The Time Lords'). Tennant and Tate were as annoying as ever and Jemma Redgrave still can't act. Meanwhile, new fella Ncuti Gatwa spent quite some time running around with no trousers on. Now this doesn't bother me, but I wonder how folk would have reacted if Jodie Whittaker's first appearance in the show had seen her tearing around the console room, with her bare legs and knickers showing?

Also Shobna Gulati should have had no trousers for her episode, for eh, representation. (To be fair that's what Russell will claim for Ncuti.)
