Davies is an idiot. Nothing he says or does matters. Whatever this strange and unpleasant show is, it has nothing to do with Doctor Who.

Still, I suppose it saves a vapid, shallow midwit like Fathead the insurmountable trouble of having to try and write a character that's supposed to be even remotely intelligent or cultured. I've said this myself. The reason RTD's Doctors are such babbling, vapid idiots is because they're a self-insert. He cannot write anyone more intelligent than himself. And he's not very intelligent.

Of course, the virtue-signalling ingrate pops up on Unleashed as soon as the episode is over to denounce the late Michael Gough's vastly superior performance as "racism" and "cultural appropriation".
Not a week goes by without this vulgar, talentless oaf publicly shitting on the memory of a deceased person involved in creating the real Doctor Who. What an absolute c*nt.

Mind you, I feel nothing but mildly amused apathy at this point. This is all so inanely predictable and predictably inane...

What a f*cking joke. No one could actually be a Doctor Who fan and miss the point of regeneration so completely. The entire appeal of the concept was the notion of the same character continuing in a new form. It's a fascinating, original idea that's captured the imagination for 60 years... or did until this vacuous, egotistical turd washed up and decided to just have "them" literally be a new character every f*cking time. NuWho exists to suck the wonder out of everything. To transform the extraordinary into the mundane. Maybe that's the "change" they're always telling us this shitshow is "all about". Still, I suppose it saves a vapid, shallow midwit like Fathead the insurmountable trouble of having to try and write a character that's supposed to be even remotely intelligent or cultured. Fathead's latest twink may be more watchable than Jodie, but there isn't even the faintest hint of William Hartnell in this performance. At least we're now dropping the pretense that there's meant to be. Him dancing on the tables. I thought that was an advert for some sleazy channel 4 drama about shagging in nightclubs. (The type of thing that RTD should be writing rather than sci fi.) The idea this is DW is funny. I refuse to believe any fan who likes him. PS RTD is a f*cking blight on gay representation. My number 1 choice for the Doctor as many of you know growing up was Tim Curry, based on his performance in Clue. Now nobody knows what Curry's sexuality is, but I always just assumed he was gay and to be fair he certainly seems to be bisexual. (There are rumours of him having relationships with actresses and he does play quite a good ladies man and old perv in Scary Movie 2 LOL. He could easily be a Noel Fielding, David Bowie type, the really fey guy that is a bigger ladies man than anyone. However there have also been shall we say rumors of him being with men. In fact he and Freddie Mercury and another famous bisexual actor, I can't quite remember his name, but he played the Movellan commander in Destiny of the Daleks were all rumoured to have been involved with each other at one point. They were all very close friends with one another, but of course that doesn't mean they were involved even if they were all gay/bisexual.) So yeah clearly I'm not opposed to an LGBT actor playing the role. Hell I can see why the character IS an LGBT icon, as he is never interested in women, and is a bit of an outsider. However I'd want Tim Curry to play the Doctor, because regardless of whether he likes dicks or vaginas, I think he'd be fantastic as an old professorial, eccentric, energetic, Edwardian/Victorian era, Holmseian character as much as Tom Baker who was a ladies man was(in fact all of the first four Doctors were womanizers LOL.) RTD meanwhile makes his gay Doctor, flaming, sexualised to the point where his arse is hanging out for his entire first episode, dances practically topless on tables, calls everybody honey and kisses any man near to him. I mean a satirist taking the piss couldn't write a more offensive, stereotypical gay Doctor if they tried! Way to not only play up to EVERY gay stereotype, but to pigeon hole gay actors into gay roles too. I shudder to think was this half wit would have written for Kevin Conroy's Batman.

Iank was right just saw this and its retarded. I wont even spend the time to give a proper response. Its the same plot points over and over. For some reason Davis thinks that the first television with the puppet is somehow embedded in computers. He is a f*cking retard and so are all his fans and they can all go f*ck themselves. This is tonally bizarre and poorly paced its not even a story its just Retarded T. Dumb ass creating the most inane, contrived, ridiculous, convoluted ideas shoving them in random places with the most vapid incomprehensible dialogue to explain it. With the most pedestrian drivel that passes for deep character moments. The CGI is also really poor and they could have just used practical effects for the puppet person.
For a family show this pervert loves to shove his sick fantasies in it. Jack flashing the camera in Series 1 and basically every RTD script has to have some obscene sexual reference and along with a retarded plot. The Doctor never took off his clothes until Series 1 and Series 4. He even has the Doctor give himself the gayest hug and tell himself to "push" and has his new Doctor walk around in the most off feminine putting way without pants. For some reason Russell really hates white people because the second the Doctor turns black Mel is into him. In this entire episode all the heros other than the Doctor are woman (minus the background characters who dont count) and the bad guy is an evil white German man (with the worst accent possible). For some reason we hear the Toy maker is beyond the universe yet he is racist because the most harmful group in society is old white men who have political incorrect views. Which is why in Series 2 the Doctor has more anger towards a random white father (Idiot's Lantern) than he does towards the guy who killed his "daughter" in Series 3. You know in Series 1-4 all the white companions have no fathers (even Sarah Jane is a single mother) and have black boyfriends/husbands. Except for Martha's family (they are divorced, but they reconcile in the end of the series) which is the only major mono racial family in RTD's Doctor Who. Even when Martha gets a white boyfriend he was abusive and she dumps her for Mickey. Isacc Newton is black white men can only be lame pinheads or villians. We also see RTD's new black Doctor show that incompetent white man Tennich around. Tennich misses the ball multiple times, but Ncuti is so much better than him.
Some may say I am looking too much into this. I am not this is what RTD intends. He was fine with showing a paedophillic gay relationship as good righteous in his other shows, but he has never shown a wholesome two parent household in Doctor Who. Only thing close is Martha's family, but they are divorced. He will never show a white family because he hates them. Mark my words this NuNuWho will make this explicit and you will see RTD's extreme racial hatred spew out.
RTD, every single NuWho fan, Moffat and Chibnall are both worse than Micheal Grade. In fact Grade should have the canned the show earlier so there was no hope of a reboot. NuWho is not neutral it is actively ruining Classic Who.

Also great to have Tennich bash the 1st Doctor for some how being the cause of the Toy Maker escaping. Everything bad is the classic shows fault. Its an 60th anniversary special because we get less than 3 seconds of classic who footage and Mel is in it (yet doesn't act like herself). I am sure Ian Levine will eat it up.
If you have a random classic actor as a random character that could be replaced by anyone without any change to the story then you will see tons of "Classic" fans eat it up. Even though RTD fat head hates the classic show and is purposely undermining it.

Honestly the older I get the more I tend to enjoy the Classic serial format. For this episode you could have divided it thusly:
Episode 1 - 1925 setup with Logie Baird and Stooky Bill, bit of an atmospheric piece, chaos in 2023, Doctor arrives at UNIT and heads into the past Episode 2 - Meeting the Toymaker, trapped in the Toymaker's Realm, theatre about to collapse on them, cliffhanger Episode 3 - Return to the present, battle at the UNIT headquarters, more development of humans going mad, Doctor gets shot, cliffhanger Episode 4 - Defeating the Toymaker, regeneration, farewells, new beginning

You do all realise that, whenever his episodes have been aired, Russell T Davies rapidly claps at his own unfolding genius just as did Mike Nesmith at the end of the Monkees' title sequence.

When Donna asked, "Do you come in a range of colours", I wish she had done this in an Indian accent just to piss people off even more.

I just watched this and thought it largely incoherent rubbish. The Toymaker was just John Simms Master v2.0, Mel was unrecognisable and wasted, and Gatwa failed to impress. UNIT were just idiots.
The only things I did like in this incredible mess was the intriguing concept of bi-generation and some brief scenes in the Toymakers fictional surreal realm, the rest was either annoying, smug, incomprehensible or a combination of all three at once.
The guy playing the Toymaker really was awful though, I mean shit-bad awful, and the trailer for Nc*nti Fatwas first episode looked pretty uninspiring too.
By the gushy nauseating end of the episode with Tennant "settling down" with his stupid idiot family, I was reaching for and retching into the sick bucket.
This was by far the very worst out of the three supposedly 60th anniversary specials.
I'm not sure I'm going to hang in there to watch much more of this drivel.

I watched The Giggle and I thought it was bloody awful. I knew I wasn’t going to like it anyway as I think most NuWho is crap apart from a few good stories throughout the last 18 years it returned but this was just an abomination.
The bi-regeneration or whatever they call it was stupid and Ncuti Gatwa reminds me of Lenny Henry’s portrayal of The Doctor on his spoof from the 1980s. All I can say is thank f*ck for the classic series DVDs and Blu-rays so I can rewatch the show I used to love.

This is true.
I've got the blu-ray boxsets of the classic era, along with NuWho up until, and including, Capaldi.
But, i'm also collecting the 8th Doctor novels.
It may finally motivate me to get into the audios.
