He's always been like that. Even in unrelated interviews he's always talking about sex. Didn't he mention he had an orgy in DWM a while back? How is that relevant to the show and who needs that mental image in their head?

Yes, he talked about having an orgy in a gay club during series 1. In DWM. A magazine about a show at least partly aimed at kids.

Lol they're releasing a novelization of this story! I can't imagine it being much better in book form.

The guy is such a sex pest, I really wouldn't be surprised if a huge scandal rears its head any time soon

People involved with that era don't exactly have a great track record, do they?

It really would not surprise me in the slightest.

He's always been like that. Even in unrelated interviews he's always talking about sex. Didn't he mention he had an orgy in DWM a while back? How is that relevant to the show and who needs that mental image in their head? Spot on. No matter what the subject he gets it back to his sex life. Here some quotes. When asked about writing the End of Time. "I would have thought that when I handed in the last script I might have burst into tears or got drunk or partied with 20 naked men, but when these great moments happen you find that real life just carries on. The emotion goes into the scripts."
In the guardian interview from this year where he talks about Doctor Who and how he was ashamed to be a fan (great celebration of its 60th) this somehow leads to a tangent of him shagging one of the extras. It lasts, the closet. Many years later, in my late 20s, when I’d moved to Manchester and worked in TV and went to Canal Street every weekend, I copped off with a nice lad who saw a book about Doctor Who on my shelf and said: “I was in that! I was a soldier in The Caves of Androzani.” And I lied, I lied to a man I’d just had sex with, I said: “No, that book’s from work, it’s someone else’s, I don’t really know what it is.” Sorry, soldier. On meeting Colin Baker he says. "We talk and talk and talk, of days gone by and days to come, of theatre and telly and his kids (his daughter was a Floor Runner on the Doctor Who Weakest Link!), of Big Finish and The Brothers. And I get the chance to thank him. Colin - I can call him Colin now! - has said many lovely, kind things about the new Doctor Who, which we've all hugely appreciated. He didn't have to. When I'm his age, and the new 3-D-Holo-Who is blazing across BBC 9, starring Rocco Ritchie, I'll be mumbling "It wasn't like this in the old days," and "Bring back the Isolus!" as I chase the male nurse in my anti-grav wheelchair."Two things about that last one. Imagine a straight producer saying "as I chase the female nurse" in a jokey, light hearted way. (Again he said this in the magazine for kids.) Second RTD you'll STILL be making the show when it's the new 3-D-Holo Who. You'll STILL have aging Millennials dominating the fandom and telling us only you can connect with the young crowd when you're doing stories about X-Factor in space. I try not to be too hard as okay guy is horny as f*ck, but to be fair so am I LOL. However I'd like to think if I was promoting DW I wouldn't be getting everything back to how horny I am LOL. Even here I didn't introduce Fire of the Daleks with "I want to shag 20 babes at a party and chase some young woman given the task of cleaning up my shit in old age."

Are we really such puritans? Most people will not catch the innuendo anyway. One is an accidental innuendo, the other is placing a filthy reference in plain sight.

My arse it's accidental... anyway, even if it was in the 1960s, it absolutely wasn't in the 1980s when they did it again

My sex life borders on the obscene but I never bring it up in conversation because it's just weird...like obviously. My parents don't talk about their sex life, neither do most normal people. It's a well-respected societal paradigm for a reason, and we should really be protecting wider society against sex pests like RTD because the slippery slope IS real; it might not look like much of a threat, but one moment you have an RTD, your mostly harmless but indubitably weird sex pest, then you have a Barrowman, an active sex pest who gets his cock out at every moment, then you have God knows f*cking what lurking in your alleyways ready to pounce at any minute. Creepy shit. Society sets boundaries for a reason, a complex reason that is hard to comprehend. f*cking respect it.

I'm also just tired of sex, sex, sex f*cking everywhere. It's not clever, it's not funny, and at this point it's getting a bit scary with how much children are being exposed to this, not just through TikTok which is a practically unmoderated medium, but also national television. World is mad.
Edit: Also I'm not just an old man ranting at clouds here. This is coming from someone who's a zoomer himself, lost his virginity at 14, got in kahoots with men three times my age when I was just 15 or 16 mostly just because I could, was exposed to all sorts of bizarre and inappropriate material at a young age, which all sounds like a bloody riot lol, but I'm sure it did irreversible damage to my mind in ways I can't even imagine. Same with those gore videos I used to indulge in. I often wonder why I'm so depressed all the time, but deep down I think I know why. KEEP YOUR KIDS AWAY FROM DEGENERACY AT ALL COSTS. I cannot emphasise this enough. It's pure f*cking filth and will cause irreversible brain-rot as an adult. I'm a grown man who's still afraid of the dark and refuses to sleep with the light off because of the shit I've seen and been exposed to. And this is just from stuff online. Sometimes I wish I'd never discovered the internet. Beware the Slippery Slope, and know that RTD and his creepy chums are a part of it.
Sorry to rant but holy shit this stuff really gets to me

Sometimes I wish I'd never discovered the internet. Beware the Slippery Slope, and know that RTD and his creepy chums are a part of it. Sorry to rant but holy shit this stuff really gets to me I am so sorry you were taken advantage of that way, Yak. It's disgusting that anyone would prey on a child like that. There was absolutely no fault of yours there, always remember that and those horrible experiences do not mean you will be disturbed as an adult. Most people who have been abused as a child go on to live happy, productive lives, though that's not to undermine the seriousness of the trauma you and other victims endure obviously, it's more just to show that it can be overcome, so don't think you'll never be able to have a normal life or anything like that. Hey I'm older than you and I still sleep with the light on and I didn't have any trauma so no shame in that. (I think it's just my generalised anxiety to be honest I panic in the dark.) Freema Agyeman even said her fear of the dark still forces her to sleep with the light on. In her case I found that unbelievably cute, but that's probably just because it's Freema LOL. Meanwhile as for RTD and John Barrowman for that matter, well I advise everyone to be cautious when it comes to mud slinging here. At the end of the day we don't have any evidence that RTD is a sex pest. He could just be a crude guy, ironically if he were straight he'd be one of these boring jock types constantly boasting about the women he's banged. Big difference between that and a rapist or even a groper however. There has never been any accusations thrown or even rumors of accusations thrown at RTD forcing himself on young men, or preying on teenagers. If we are being fair JNT was waaaaaaaay more dodgy that way going after teenagers (older teenagers to be clear like 19 year olds.) That said however there have been rumors of some casting couch situations with RTD. Many people think that Benjamin Cook only got to where he is because he let Russell squeeze whatever he wanted, then there's Rob calling Russell Tovey RTD's twink and finally those pictures of RTD perving over Ncuti. Again nothing definite, but I wouldn't be surprised if something dodgy comes out that way. I also do think that RTD was a nasty bully on set. His character on social media does not impress, then you have his toadies like Phil Collinson and Benjamin Cook in particular who are similarly very nasty characters. (Not trying to white knight for Claudia, but Benjamin Cook's treatment of her showed not only a really vicious, petty, misogynistic side to him, but quite a frighteningly manipulative streak too, which again leaves you wondering what he has done to others who were maybe not quite as bolshy as Claudia in speaking out about it afterwards?) I reckon if anything does come out about RTD it will probably be like Joss Whedon. IE he shagged his way through the staff, he bullied people, played favourites, blacklisted people, which is bad enough, but ultimately until more serious even rumours emerge then it's best not to call him a sex pest. Granted you never know anyone in the entertainment industry could be. Who would have thought that Alison Mack would have been the head of a deranged sex cult that branded women for instance? That would be like finding out Ingrid Oliver is a slave trader LOL it was so random, insane and unlike what you thought you knew about them. Meanwhile John Barrowman, well I know this is going to be controversial, but again he wasn't a sex pest either. Now don't get me wrong here, I think JB's behavior was terrible, and if I were running a set I would never allow it, and the fact that RTD escaped backlash there and is still able to crow about what a great man he is, is f*cking tragic. Still again I do say that what Barrowman did is what lots of actors do. Acting isn't the same as other work. Often actors get naked in front of the crew, they have to have people touch their genitals in various circumstances if they are doing love scenes to cover them up with cod pieces etc. (The guy playing the Master in Buffy had to have a young lady hold his cock every time he went to pee and wipe his arse, as the talons they gave him meant that he would have cut himself!) As a result of all this, yes actors can get more comfortable with each other and play jokes on each other that would be unthinkable anywhere else. Barrowman's antics meanwhile in this respect were no worse than what a lot of other actors have done. By all accounts he never put his dick on someone that wasn't a very close friend. He never did it to men he was attracted too, and his friends on set did a lot of similar things. (He chose not to name them so as not to drag them into it.) Now where it was awful, was that some of the extras and staff felt uncomfortable watching him do it with his friends on set, but felt they couldn't say anything as Barrowman and friends were the talent. That does show you how cliquey that set was, but even then the blame really lies in Chibnall and RTD who clearly weren't approachable that way and failed in their duty of care to the extras, who had to put up with it being one big boys club. Meanwhile like I said what Barrowman actually did with his friends is it any worse than the following? Sarah Michelle Gellar pulling on James Marsters cod piece to expose his dick to the set as a joke when they were doing all of those love scenes? David Boreanaz dropping his trousers and pants to make his co-stars corpse? (Roger Moore used to do the same thing btw.) Ade Edmondson and Rik Mayall also used to moon each other to make the other corpse. Patrick Troughton pulled Wendy Padbury's skirt down and stuck his fingers up her nose to make her corpse. There is also a story of he and Frazer Hines picking up Deborah Watling and throwing her into the fake foam used for Fury From The Deep, again as a joke. Colin Baker bit Nicola Bryant on the arse as a prank when he had to stand behind her during the filming of the Twin Dilemma. Any of these worse than Barrowman? Not really, but again Barrowman seems to have been encouraged more and thrown under the bus, which again when you consider that it is the head of the production teams job to make sure that it doesn't just become too chummy and too cliquey, then yeah it does cast a very dark shadow over RTD in more ways than one. Still again until anything concrete comes out, then it's best to be cautious when accusing them.

If he had any sense or respect for the crew or cast members he wouldn't have got his willy out for all to see. The working environment on a Doctor Who episode shouldn't be akin to that of a 11 year old boy's sleepover party where everyone gets their cock out to see who has the biggest one.
