Quite a few classics here, but Remembrance of the Daleks is the show's greatest story for me. Fenric is a close second, though.

It's either Paradise Towers for how much joy it brings me, or the Curse of Fenric.

Jesus, this is a bit of an ask? It's basically your fave 80s story lol! Anyway despite so much competition, I have to go for State of Decay. Tom, Lalla, K9 and vampires. Yes please.

Uncle Deadly must be the biggest fan of the Baker era on this forum. I never realised how much he liked Varos, not that I blame him. The script is very good. I just wish the direction wasn't so bland. Would have been worth checking to see if David Maloney was about to return to the series. A story like that was right down his street.

Remembrance. Best story of the entire decade.

Very hard to choose, but in the end I went for Remembrance. It's pretty much perfect in every way, pacing, characterisation, production values (barring a few wobbly Daleks LOL) and acting. You can't top it.

It's a solid action-adventure. I prefer Silver Nemesis though. And pretty much any 60s Dalek story. (Sorry)

I do appreciate Silver Nemesis, and I am even writing a story based on it about a witch who travels in time and fights robot men, but I'm a bit surprised to hear it rated better than Remembrance as in all fairness it is a bit too much of a remake of that story.

Yeah, they're both good fun, but Nemesis is more memorably weird and that just appeals to me more.

JNT Top 10 Remembrance of the Daleks Resurrection of the Daleks Caves of Androzani Revelation of the Daleks The Five Doctors Attack of the Cybermen State of Decay Ghostlight The Awakening Mawdryn Undead That's not too dissimilar to my list, the obvious difference being that Fenric is not only in my list but very high on it.

I blow hot and cold with Fenric. Bits of it irritate me. Other bits are brilliant. It ususally sits somewhere in between No.8 and No 12, because like you, my lists aren't set it stone forever. They vary slightly. I keep meaning to watch that Special Edition version. I've only seen it once ages ago.

I think my list at the moment would be:
1. Remembrance of the Daleks 2. The Curse of Fenric
The top two are set in stone. The rest change depending on what kind of story I'm interested in at the time
3. The Five Doctors 4. Earthshock 5. Silver Nemesis 6. The Caves of Androzani 7. Ghost Light 8. The Greatest Show in the Galaxy 9. Resurrection of the Daleks 10. Enlightenment

I do get why some people dislike them as they are extremely hammy, and objectively I think the 60s Cybermen are probably the best. They play with the idea of body horror more, are more genuinely unnerving and more unique. Still the 80s guys are by far the most fun. I'm also glad that I gave Silver Nemesis another chance. Again it's not the classic Remembrance is, but it is extremely creative, enjoyable and an important development for the McCoy Doctor.
