They were atrocious beyond all imagination. What else is there to say? How in the world is anyone still a fan of this show? How?That's what I said to Lord Slarr the other day. He didn't answer me. At least he didn't block me mind, but still. All this I hope to see so and so return. Why? It's not even the Doctor anymore? It really is just an egomaniac's fan fiction. I've always imagined this is what it's like if you try to question one of RTD's ideas in the "writers" room LOL. To be fair given that Eccelston and RTD were rumoured to have got into a fist fight during the filming of Boomtown as Eccleston hated the script so much, maybe that's not far removed? |

I wonder how this new RTD will be taken in the social media age? I imagine exactly like the Star Wars Prequels. Read the MSM, you'd think nothing was wrong with all their celebratory, don't spoil the party takes. But dissenting social media will have a way bigger impact than the last time, like it did with The Last Jedi. Youtube will be the difference. In the spirit of RTD self-congratulation, here is my highly predictive post from last september. The only thing I got slightly wrong was the MSM did join in a bit too. Yep. Those of us who predicted it’d be a crap damp squib- even amongst the general audience- were vindicated just a tad. Mind you, I was in sheer disbelief after seeing that Davies/Davros clip on Unleashed. In hindsight, it should have been obvious. |
