I read a comment on YouTube where the person said that he couldn't wait for the Christmas special to make a certain bunch of people miserable, a thought that made him feel a great deal of warmth and pleasure. Thankfully someone called him out on the fact that he was a bit of a loser for getting off on people being annoyed about a shit TV show. I've seen a lot of comments like this, actually. I remember there was one idiot who used to say, "that episode is going to annoy the right people" after every Jodie episode. I was very tempted to say, "what, people with good taste?" Those are the sorts of people that know nothing about anything, losers who'd be better off melted down into glue and used to plaster houses than existing in their current forms. I so wish you could punch people through the screen. At least then they might be of some benefit to society

I remember there was one idiot who used to say, "that episode is going to annoy the right people" after every Jodie episode. I was very tempted to say, "what, people with good taste?" The majority of favorable responses to Jodie's casting announcement in 2017 were comments along those lines. I saw shockingly few of her proponents express any genuine excitement about what she might bring to the role. This kind of attitude is as ubiquitous in the industry itself as it is on social media. Egotistical hacks like RTD and Rian Johnson openly delight in upsetting fans of the pre-existing stories they hijack. They seem to derive a pathetic sense of power from desecrating and vandalising other people's art, safe in the knowledge that the public are helpless to do anything about it.

I think it's called "small penis syndrome".
I bet Ncuti could verify.

The annoying thing about NuWho is that has no reason to be as bad as it is. If it was still good or at least entertaining enough to invest in then I wouldn't have an issue with it. It just seems to me that RTD is deliberately trying to purge the viewership of long time fans in favour of a younger, more impressionable crowd. He's also shifting the series into hard fantasy to the point where it no longer feels like the same shame it was ten years ago let alone sixty. Watching the show now feels like walking into a world full of RTD's sexual fantasies. I'm just waiting for the Doctor to land on a planet populated entirely by ripped shirtless men.

Seems like he's taking a leaf out of Moffat's book

He says something in the magazine this month about the Hand of Fear having a connection to Division era Gallifrey

I wish RTD did a whole series of articles about watching Classic Who, because it'd be fun to see him misunderstand all those stories

It was obvious. Susan wasn't trying to convince her to not marry a man because of his age. She had another idea

RTD said this in a recent interview:
Homophobia and transphobia happens when it’s something you’ve never seen before. You can temper that reaction and change it when you introduce these images to people happily and normally and calmly when they’re young. Then it just becomes normal.”
