Ha ha. I do have series 1-10. The RTD era, Day of the Doctor, Time of the Doctor, Series 8 and 9 on DVD, and the Smith era (bar the above two), series 10 and the Capaldi Xmas specials (bar the last one) on Blu. Obviously I will not allow anything past series 10 in the house.

I owned a few of the vanilla RTD era DVDS (No extras n such) as well as the Series 5 and 7 boxsets but flogged them off around 2014/5 after Series 8 f*cked me off NuWho full time.
That said, I still have a few VHS recordings of the Eccleston episodes (Unquiet Dead, Dalek, Empty Child/Doctor Dances and Fathers Day) that I taped on original broadcast and I did buy the Series 5 boxset around 2018 but other than that I can't say I'm in a hurry to buy everything else back.

"I still have a few VHS recordings of the Eccleston episodes" That's pretty cool. Did you tape the announcer bit at the beginning or some of the ads?

Yeah, a few of the idents from the time such as the wheelchair ad and such. I did tape Rose on there with the ident of the TARDIS with the fireball in the background but ended up taping over it with an OFAH re-run on Gold. I rarely watch them these days but I still keep a fair amount of tape recordings of stuff from way back when mainly for nostalgic reason, seeing all the old adverts and such. (Exciting innit?)

I still have my collection around, though if I want to rewatch one or to muck around with an edit, I just download it off humble puppy or another torrent site. I generally just get the sets as something to blow money on for Birthdays and Christmas. I haven't bothered watching any of the Jodie sets at all.

I regret buying Series 3 on Blu ray. Not because of the episodes (which I like), but the slowed down footage is unbearable. You notice it almost immediately and it's just awful listening to a slower version of the theme. It makes everything feel so long and ruins my enjoyment.

Reminiscent of the US version of the Tom S12 set. The movement is so jerky it's unwatchable. Not sure what it is; had something similar with the US DVD release of the old 70s Thriller show; something to do with processing into NTSC and/or back again or something. Really weird and offputting.

I got rid of all my RTD 1.0 Blu rays because they're complete rubbish. Absolutely love Series 3, but I can't sit through something that is so obviously slowed down. It's akin to walking in water. Even the sound is completely off. On top of that the PQ just isn't that good. I did have some Moffat ones but those were given away too. I'm left with a collection I'm fairly happy with:
The Runaway Bride/Waters of Mars on the Timelord Victorious set (Tennant) (the former's speed is fixed I believe. I'll have to check) Revolution of the Daleks (Whittaker) Eve of the Daleks/Legend of the Sea Devils (Whittaker) The Power of the Doctor (Whittaker) The 60th Anniversary Specials (Tennant) Season 1 (Ncuti)
With the exception of Runaway Bride all of those stories are in true HD. I refuse to buy upscaled NuWho stuff. If anything they make me appreciate the work done on the classic series in regards to the Collection sets.

Season 1 Ncuti Maxil? To quote the Cat.
"Ohhhhhhhhh you're sick I want no part of this depravity."
Seriously though I had 0 idea you liked Ncuti's season that much? All opinions are welcome but I don't know what there is too like in it? It doesn't have a woman as the lead so right away that's a big drop off for you.

Jodie's absence is depressing, but I rate 73 Yards and Legend of Ruby Sunday as genuine RTD classics. I know people don't here which is fine, but I find them very rewatchable. The Devil's Chord is something I have a lot of fun with too. They all look gorgeous on Blu ray. I'd rather own it than any Capaldi series. In fact, Capaldi is the only Doctor I've never actually owned anything from.

Any negative opinions I held about Jodie Whittaker back in 2018/2019 are completely gone now. I've grown to really love her version of the character. She's more the Doctor to me than Eccleston ever was.
