My results have been largely very good thus far, but there’s a lot riding on this final piece. Fingers crossed I haven’t buggered it up! Just got my results back. This final project scored respectably (at 72), but it dragged my initial average down slightly. I think the final result was compromised by my essentially redrafting the whole thing over the duration of a mere month (after worrying that the initial presentation was too journalistic). Still, it's not a bad result at all, and my average score (amounting to a Distinction) is 13.5% higher than it was at the "other place" last year. So I'll take it.  |

"You could see it was first-draft stuff, surely..?" I suppose, unlike certain writers, I at least recognised a possible dreadful first draft. At least this passed the 70 threshold- I doubt it would have otherwise... I think this coursework submission suffered from over-drafting instead of under-drafting. Then again, to channel one of Rob's earlier observations, it also made the writing process more redolent of Christopher Bidmead than Russell T. Davies. |

I don't want to sound like a grumpy old man, but why does Bonfire night need to be extended across a whole week these days?
