I usually have stuffing and pigs in blankets with my chicken/turkey. Yorkshire puddings are essential.

Aging is an odd one. Gonna be 62 in less than 4 months, but apart being overweight I don't think I look too bad for my age. At least that's what people keep telling me. You wonder if they're just being nice and in reality I do look my age. Especially when you see an old acquaintance who's about 5 years or so younger than me, and they look about 75... you wonder if people look at you and think that.... Musings on vanity. š

lol Quite. I was moaning the other week about needing a haircut cause when my hair gets long it just stick out everywhere like a mad scientist and I think I look awful with it. Then I remind myself that many people of my age don't have their hair anymore...

These posts ruminating on ageing are interesting. I turned 23 last week and even *I* started to panic about age and mortality. Probably a quarter-life crisis. I clearly need some perspectiveā¦š¤£

Changing the subject: Iām receiving my results for my Masters Degree a week from today. My dissertation revolves around the circumstances surrounding Doctor Whoās 1985 hiatus; beyond being a research project and artistic analysis in equal measure, it euphemistically calls Michael Grade a twat. When investigating the BBC Written Archives centre during my research, I found some excellent fan-letters which would be brilliantly received on here. However, given their confidentiality, Iām unsure if I can post them in a public domain.
My results have been largely very good thus far, but thereās a lot riding on this final piece. Fingers crossed I havenāt buggered it up!
EDIT: Correction- while the dissertation holistically examines the economic, political and artistic conditions behind the hiatus, its primary objective is to unravel and redress the critical orthodoxy surrounding it. The opening paragraphs establish said orthodoxy by quoting Kim Newman, Paul Cornell, Richard Molesworth and others who attributed the hiatus solely to the programmeās producer and/or āviewing figuresā.

Amazon Prime can royally f*ck themselves. This is the fourth time in a year where the parcels have apparently been delivered but are nowhere in sight. This doesn't happen with the morning delivery or the evening one. It's always the guy that comes at 3pm. The fact that this happens so frequently mixed with comments in local groups about not getting their deliveries I can only conclude that someone is stealing them - someone walking by or perhaps the delivery driver. This isn't so strange since some people have been caught on Ring stealing delivery boxes from outside the door on occassions. Kids walk by my house on their way back from school. If the parcel is only shoved partially in the letterbox or is left at the doorstep then it's ripe for picking for one of them (or another person walking that way). It only happens around that time. I have to wait 24 hours to get in touch with Amazon and then I'll have to wait even longer for them to do anything about it because it will be the weekend.

The fact that the order with a new wallet and some classic DVDs is the one that goes missing is quite suspect.

The driver put it through the door - the door of a house that's currently vacant Thankfully some men were doing work in there yesterday and gave it to me. Not to play the blame game, but I genuinely do wonder if he delivered the other three missing parcels to that house in the past and if so whether or not the neighbours (who we didn't like one bit) kept them. I suppose I'll never know.

I remember last year they delivered something for my brother who was up to see me in his RV and even sent a photo of it by the door to prove it. Just one problem... not my door.
