I agree with the three winning choices. I will say though that Seeds of Death is very underrated. Terry Scully's performance I think is particularly good. His character is a bit like the Controller in Day of the Daleks. IE not just the usual Mavic Chen type Quisling. A more complicated character who your opinion of changes as the show goes on and who eventually redeems himself somewhat.
I also love the Ice Lord. Its very Mekonish in its design and the performance is one of the best. On a par with Kevin Lindsay's Sontaran and David Banks Cyber Leader.
Also I think this is how the Doctors moral code should always be. Fair, but utterly ruthless and willing to use any means necessary (including guns) to stop the badguys.

Fairly easy choice.
Invasion, Seeds, War Games, with the runner up being The Mind Robber.
Worst one is obviously The Space Pirates, leaving Dominators and Krotons filed under: Average.

It doesn't really matter if you apply favorability to some stories at this stage or not to make the semi final heats because they'll all be knocked out next round anyway(and there will be three votes next round too). I mean look at poll now, two can play at that game. |

Really my message was for those who haven't voted yet to do so, particularly in the season one and two polls where the vote count is quite low. There is no need to get too precious over individual stories at this stage, the next 2 rounds will sort the men out from the boys. Then it'll be a semi and then a winner, I dunno. It will be a gradual whittling down process rather than so decisive people have to remove 2nd and third votes at this stage anyway. It's quite cool if 3 stories per season go through into the next round. The next two rounds will probably consist of top 3 stories out of 6, so it won't be too agonizing a choice...yet. |

Okay, I've looked into this and as it stands I think the way to do this is just eliminate the stories which have no votes at all in the next round. If I just allow the top scoring stories through, it appears that at present "Unearthly Child", "Marinus" and "Planet Of Giants" all get through to the next heat and "Power of the Daleks" doesn't, which I can imagine is going to cause some queries and complaints.
So, just to clarify: THE ONLY STORIES ELIMINATED IN THE NEXT ROUND ARE THOSE WITH ZERO VOTES THESE FIRST ROUNDS!
So there is no need for vote pulling or chopping and changing second and third preferences.
Jeeeeeezus. You know what? You lot of bad men are a frikkin nightmare!
