Whilst seeing Grade and bloody Fielding for the millionth time in these trailers blotted my enthusiasm, a part of me would admittedly be tempted to invest just to see the likes of Varos, Two Doctors and Revelation digitally remastered and all the behind the scenes footage/location filming from way back when.

Neoliberal liberalism, Nupoo in a nutshell. Bet they all wet themselves with excitement when Jeff Bezos did his little space trip.

I'm not wound up by the Grade interview and it will be interesting as it is part of the history of the show.

Grade and Powell are disgusting human beings.
"In common with Grade, Powell had a low opinion of the series and especially despised its producer, John Nathan-Turner, who he later said he wanted to "f*ck off... or die, really"
Scumbags.

The only reason Grade ever got anywhere is his family connections. Another example of nepotism and scum rising.

That's kind of disgraceful, actually. People like him and Powell are just proven scumbags, why should we give them space to spin their BS? Dear me. They've also had infinite air time to complain about Doctor Who anyway. Being part of the BBC establishment, and in Grade's case, a Thatcherite Westminster twat part of a government which received fervent backing by the Murdoch Press, their case against Doctor Who had been constantly publicly aired with nary a counter-narrative in sight. It's why their position eventually became mainstream, despite receiving backlash amidst the beginning of the hiatus. If you're going to have Grade interviewed, have someone publicly debate and challenge him on his points about the programme. He's never experienced that before, and I'd love to see how the twat would handle himself. Alas, I reckon it'll be as one-sided as it normally is.

Let's face it, another major factor here is that the nuwho mob have a vested interest in Grade's narrative because it supports their position. How can they be seen to have "reinvented" Doctor Who so brilliantly without the notion of there being something wrong with the original?

I don't watch extras anyway. Neither do I, especially if the people on them didn't work on the season in question.

Does having a low opinion of a TV series really make someone a scumbag?

Does having a low opinion of a TV series really make someone a scumbag? It does when they then abuse the power in which they've been entrusted to deliberately sabotage the creative output of that programme, yes.
