Hard to think of a politician more widely despised across the political spectrum, isn't it? This is quite telling.

I hope this petition gets over a million signatures.
I get sick of the Blair-worship from the establishment media and the way they wheel the war criminal ghoul out every 5 minutes to comment on something he's neither qualified or knowledgeable about to speak.
It's got three quarters of a million, so hopefully it should crack the million mark and piss the BBC right off who seem to blissfully think he's as popular now as he was in 1997.

Starmer's fervently defended the decision to knight him, despite going overwhelmingly against public opinion. I thought that the right of the party were preoccupied with "triangulation" and adhering to the modern consensus rather than ideology? This seems to defy that somewhat. Tangentially, I thought you guys would like this.

Over 1 million people. That will at least upset the c*nt as he's so pathetic he really cares about his legacy. This is surely unprecedented that over 1 million people object to a public figure being honoured in this way?

This is surely unprecedented that over 1 million people object to a public figure being honoured in this way? It'll upset him, but it'll also upset the establishment political class too, and make Starmer and the current Labour Party look ever more outdated. They're trying to emulate a political figure who remains avidly disliked by the majority of people, and under the farcical pretence of "electability". The other mainstream parties aren't any different either. Have you seen this? www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/ed-davey-tony-blair-her-majesty-lib-dem-liberal-democrat-b1987248.html

Ed Davey just lost his LibDem resurgence with that idiotic intervention. He's not even a tenth of the man Charles Kennedy was.

Tony Blair did lead a transformative government and so probably deserves the honour as much as many recipients (although the whole system of honours is outdated and discredited).

Caligula ran a better government Rani. The horse he made senator was far more equipped than the majority of Labour candidates like Gordon Brown and Alistair Campbell, whilst Caligula's war against Neptune didn't lead to as many deaths as Tony Blair's. Also incredibly enough Caligula wasn't so bad he destroyed the monarchy, where as Blair was so bad he completely wiped out Labour in Scotland and destroyed the credibility of left wing politics among the working classes to such an extent that they think Bo Jo is someone who can help them. I'm sure most people would be less offended calling Caligula Jove than Tony Blair Sir.

Yes, he transformed it for the worse by saddling the NHS with private debt to loan sharks, making higher education unaffordable thereby cutting off social mobility and saddling those who dared venture into it with a lifetime of debt repayment, making zero hour contracts and foodbanks a thing, tearing chunks out the welfare state with sanctions and workfare, overseeing an artificially inflated property price boom whilst building less social housing than Thatcher thereby making rents unaffordable, mortgages an impossibility and stripping younger generations of independent living, and all of that before we even get on to the matter of breaking International Law by launching illegal wars on a disingenuous pretext which murdered over a million innocents. He almost made Thatcher look like Florence Nightingale by comparison, but then again, she was his idol and inspiration.

There were other great figures like Robin Cook, Mo Mowlam, Donald Dewar. www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfNyItl9J8w
