What is he on? Colin is a great actor but ever since Jodie's announcement he's been acting like a complete moron.

It was the influence of Colins behaviour which got Davison bullied and hounded off twitter.
I think Colin should reflect a bit more upon on that instead of making idiotic statements.

He certainly didn't help it. I hated the way he threw William Hartnell under the bus saying that it was only because his Doctor was so patriarchal and old fashioned that we couldn't have a woman following on from him, but now things were better. That was really shitty.

It's a real shame to see Colin act this way. Maybe he badly needs that BF money so he toes the line because it insures he can pay the bills?
Yeah right, wishful thinking on my part.

Colin is a bit of a tragic figure nowadays. A bitter, resentful, out-of-touch has-been desperately pining for the approval of people who clearly couldn't care less about him or his work, while in the process making an absolute fool of himself and alienating just about everyone who did actually respect him.

I do find it a shame that Colin didn't get more prominent post-Who work, whether it was down to him being sacked from the show or not - he was excellent in perhaps the most challenging persona of the character. But he really needs to stick to the day job, or what used to be the day job. If one era of Nu Who will get even more of a kicking soon it's the Jodie one - and that's from the Davies and even the Moffatt fans more than us!

Dear me, what the Hell is he on about?
“I love something that she has brought, that I’ve never seen in a Doctor before, which is joy: the joy of being the Doctor. I suppose joy isn’t a particularly manly attribute. Usually, smugness is more what men go for, rather than joy!”
Unfortunately, she wasn't a joy for me (and for many others, I suspect) to watch. I genuinely like Colin but he just comes across as out of touch and desperate. Very sad indeed.

I actually find Jodies character, what little I've seen of it, INCREDIBLY smug and condescending too. The joy she gave me was vowing to never watch the series again and archiving my whole Doctor Who collection into mothballs.

Has no one told him that even the BBC are embarrassed by this shit now?

Apparently the Radio Shite also ran a piece stating Colin will be making an Emmerdale cameo, so I guess that was his reward (tho that's not how I would see it!) I don't think he or they seem to have learnt that shoehorning someone in because of their race or gender isn't even going to appeal to their RTD core audience, judging from what I've seen.
I know the current virtue signallers seem to think the show never had any joy in it, particularly in the actors playing the lead role, but even reviews of Hartnell stories years ago used to focus on the wonder he and his companions had in seeing the vast possibilities of the universe, and he was supposed to be 'Mr Grumpy'. Troughton went on record saying "I loved playing the part" and his performances reflect that. Christ, even Tennant's enthusiasm for (and in) the role is palpable. What is it with the current regime and their late-in-the-day acolytes like Baker denying even the painfully obvious?

I lost respect for Colin ages ago. Even when I met him he spoke over me. There are a lot of people associated with the classic series that have said the silliest things over the years. The worst was probably Sophie saying that all children that preferred classic who were brainwashed by their parents. I love you dearly Sophie, but don't be an idiot. I don't care much for their opinions anymore.

Why do they let the fandom incrowd and the panel show c*nts and the mainstream media shills completely bully them into thinking that they were the inferior version until the revival came along? I get that you don't want to be conceited, but given how much shit the show has taken I think they've earned it. They are never going to win any respect that way.

Particularly gutless of Colin is that he used to say, when he was the Doctor, that he would play the part all year round with just Xmas and New Years Day off. Are we now supposed to believe he had no joy for such a role?
The panel show lot don't currently utter a bad word about Chibbers/Jodie at the moment, but that will soon change!
