Difficult for me to disagree with this. Might possibly substitute Mawdryn with one of them, maybe Resurrection, maybe The Awakening.

I also have a soft spot for quirky stories like 4 To Doomsday, tho its final part is a tedious and silly mess - I could hardly claim it's one of his 5 finest tales.

I watched the first few episodes of The Visitation last night. Good story, but I hate rats. They freak me out big time. I also find the direction a bit bland. The script is good though and I like Richard Mace.

Richard Mace is one of the best guest stars. I also like the guy playing the Tereliptile. "I'M ASKING YOU!"

Yeah, I quite like TKD myself. I think I just have a thing for castles and that period of time. The sets are almost as impressive as the ones in Enlightenment. I think Season 20 is probably the best looking season of the Davison era for me. Pretty much all of the stories are well directed or have some sort of visual flair. I don't think that was the case in Season 21 apart from Caves, The Awakening and Resurrection.

I've never really got the love for The Awakening. It's very well directed, but it just feels more like a light timewaster than anything else. I agree with Snakedance being great. I thought Martin Clunes was about thirty or something in that story, but he was only 22.

I'm generally well disposed towards two- and three-parters in Classic Who. Unlike in New Who, they don't cram a ton of story into a shorter runtime. It's an appropriately smaller scaled narrative told at a good pace. 

Plus, it's one of the Davison era stories that doesn't feel clunky. There's a kind of unrehearsed awkwardness to a lot of the Fifth/Sixth Doctor episodes, but King's Demons feels relaxed and natural. It's only irreverent fluff of course, but it's a good time.

TKD has a great first episode but ep 2 is a complete mess. Rushed, goes nowhere, and all the guest cast turn into complete stupid c*nts. It's by far the worst of the 2 parters, I'm sorry.
