Who do posters think will be the next Faketor Who in NuPooh then?
Will it be a male, female, animal or mineral?
Perhaps the Faketor will regenderate into a stupid cutesy beep beep robot?
Maybe the Faketor will change into a grand piano which the companions have to wheel along behind them and play the odd plinky plonk bit of sad music on when emo-gush scenes occur?
Maybe the next Faketor will become a sentient cloud of green gas farted out when Jodies gurns her last scrunch face?
Perhaps the next Faketor will be a triffid? Or a murder of crows or something?
In fact, who really gives a shit?

Eddie Izzard. Then they can still say they've still got a female Doctor.

It really is a joke.
I always used to say that the Doctor was one of the three best heroes, along with Batman and Xena in that I think you can do more with those three than any others, ie put them into a wider range of different scenarios, fight a wider range of enemies, explore more genres etc. It takes tremendous skill to be able to create a character like that, who can still have a proper, recognizable identity that shines through so many different interpretations.
Now however the Doctor can be anyone and has no identity. He can as you say be a cloud of vapour, a brontosaurus, Hulk Hogan, as hey the Doctor can be anyone and anything.
Any hack can come up with a character who is varied because they have no character and can become anything. It took skill to actually create a character that was variable and it's sad that the Doctor was destroyed, but should serve as a lesson to future fandoms. Never be self loathing.
Batman has endured because its fans were always proud and confident. Case in point, Jared Leto's bland Joker was slated, whilst Missy's absolute abomination was praised as "channeling Delgado." Nuff said.

Nuff said. You're right. The best franchises always respect the foundations that they're built upon and add to the canonicity of them rather than attempt to reinvent, revise or deconstruct them. Once they do either of those three things, they always bugger them up completely.

I still reckon it could be John Bishop, I don't buy all this "I’m doing Doctor Who up until July and then I go on the road again in September.” red herring guff from the Radio Times.
The only thing which might have f*cked up his chances was his endorsement of Ken Loach, which Tracy-Ann Oberman and Rachel Riley will be lobbying the BBC for his immediate blacklisting over.

Tracy-Ann Oberman has exposed herself as a vile, nasty piece of work over the last few years. The definition of a "I WANT TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER" type of loathsome cretin.

Don't know and don't f*cking care... I think that's the attitude most people have. It just needs to die at this stage. Only thing I will say though is it is unbelievable that Gina Carano lost her job because of feminists, whilst Jodie got hers because of them. Pretty much proves what I've always said that they don't give a damn about there being good roles for women. Just in taking them away from men.

Why doe Jodie always pull these faces which look like she's squeezing out a stool?
Is this confined to just press release photos or is she like it in the programme too?

I think it's meant to be charming and quirky. It reminds me of when Rick from the Young Ones blows a raspberry to show how "I'm a bit nutty everyone." A lot of her expressions also remind me of Arnold Rimmer too LOL. For those of us who didn't want a female Doctor Who we honestly couldn't have hoped for a more terrible actress. I will say my respect for Olivia Coleman went up. I always liked her as she was in one of my fave sitcoms Peep Show, but it seems she is smart as well as funny as she was Chibbers first choice for 13 but turned it down. Why she did I don't know, but either way that was a smart move career wise. Whilst she wouldn't have been as awful as Jodie, she'd still have had to fight the Pting, a butch tooth fairy and Cyber Lords

Those cyber Time Lord things sure look dumb.

The Cyber Lords are from a 12th Doctor comic where the Cybermen take over the Time Lords. That is honestly how crap Chibbers is. Even his own lame Dalek and Cybermen stories are ripped off from bits of spin off material. Resolution was a rip off of a UNIT story starring Ingrid Oliver, where a Dalek escapes its casing and is still a threat, whilst this Capaldi comic introduced the Cyberlords.

They looked like Cybertwats to me. I was curling up with embarrassment just looking at static photos of them, I wasn't going to actually watch the thing as well. Seemed too much like self-torture.

The BBC did everything they could to push that show and their quota system (available in the papers this week) off it too. All change is good! Either that or Jodie Comer, who was in that dreadful "Killing Eve" show. A program with so little coherent plotting and so many holes she's prepared perfectly for Nu Who.

I don't think it will be Michaela Coel or anyone from Killing Eve. Maybe back in 2013, but now? The show is career poison and they both have careers LOL. Jodie made a mistake. Olivia Coleman wisely turned the show down as she clearly knew it was a sinking ship. Jodie however I have to say was a bit too egocentric, thinking she could blow us away with an amazing performance. They're not going to get anyone well known, and to be honest I can't even see that many up and coming or character actors wanting to play it. Let's be honest if there even is another Doctor it will be the last so who wants to be made the fall guy for Mofftwat and Chinballs failings?
