UGH viewers up at 2.62 million. How annoying seeing them all act smug about this on twitter and reddit. How did that even happen? 600 thousand viewers just materialised out of nowhere? It helps there was a big football match just before the episode, so it would have retained some of that audience looking to wind down Also, because of the political themes, people deciding on what to do with the election and curious about the coverage would have tuned in also.

Imagine turning to Fathead for voting advice. Davies is the sort of man who'd happily turn up at a Lockheed Martin-sponsored Pride parade wearing Raytheon rainbow socks.

Also, because of the political themes, people deciding on what to do with the election and curious about the coverage would have tuned in also. I'm surprised anyone was aware of the episode's "political" content before it aired. I wouldn't have had a clue if I hadn't found out via this forum. Besides, like Carol Vorderman (who he's close to), Davies' political advice would solely consist of "Vote tactically to get the Tories out!". In other words, conforming to the commentary of aggro-centrists who aren't willing to acknowledge that a Starmer government wouldn't be any better. He's not exactly a paragon of original political thought and I'd be shocked if a member of the general public viewed him that way.

Yeah, its a cup final bounce. Still absolutely dire and nothing to shout about.
Never forget Nupoo fans insisted that the worst ratings ever were proof of it's popularity. These people are insane cultists, who can only communicate in butthurt.

Like most modern day genre fans then?

2.62 is still atrocious, come on. We are still in sub-Battlefieldpt1, massive flop territory. What on Earth do these losers think there is to be "smug" about? A minor increase while still in the 2 mil range hardly makes the thing a hit suddenly!

I haven’t sat through this. Although I pirated the last three, my interest is now such that I haven’t even countenanced watching this. Watching what..?

Battlefield's lowest episode was on opposite both an England qualifier for the World Cup and Corrie on one side.

I wonder how the ratings bumped.
I would assume it is done off the back of Boom, one of the more watchable episodes this year - but Boom rated lower than the two episodes preceding it.
Not that 2.6 is remotely a runaway success, but the spike is surprising.
