What's there to get away with? She probably got a raise for generating clicks. That's all there is to "journalism" nowadays anyway. It's such a shitty metric because all it does is incentivise bad behaviour.

Not to get too personal, but my mum loves women (and has only ever dated women for the last ten years) and she can't stand all this pandering. It really gets on her nerves and even she thinks NuWho is shite now (she loved the Tennant era back in the day). A side issue, and this probably because I'm an old f*cker, (lol) but I don't think I'll ever get used to the legimate use of 'queer'. Such a horrible word that has only ever had a history (at least in the UK) of being used in a distinctly pejorative manner. I understand the concept of 'reclaiming' a word, but to me it's on a par with the 'N' word or something. It just makes me bristle.
