Some of us suffer from mental health issues and depression so I thought I'd make a thread where people can feel comfortable in opening up or just talk about things that are bothering them.

I get really annoyed when someone constantly tells me to step outside my comfort zone it's like yes thank you you've told me ten times already please stop yeah so I suppose that's something that's going on with me .I will do so when I'm ready

I hate that so much. All it ever does is reaffirm that I'm really not at ease around other more socially well-adjusted humans.

Like when the doctor was pissed at the Valeyard in the court room scenes.

It's nice to feel at ease. Nothing better than watching good telly in bed with a nice hot drink at the end of a hard day.

The problem with getting high naturally is that it never lasts and when I come down from it it feels painful. I've always wondered if I have bipolar disorder because I can be happy, alive and motivated one minute and then completely crumble the next.

What are you using to get high? If it's weed it can depend on the strain you use, some people naturally respond better to certain ones etc.

When I'm in a dark place I tend to consume vast amounts of pornography. I've discovered that if I watch it for long enough in one session I enter a trance state where literally all that matters in life is the booty on the screen. I've made sure I only do this late at night so I don't neglect my duties or my family, but it makes me feel less stressed in general. I'll always be addicted to porn I think which is sad, but I get a lot of comfort from it at the same time.

I struggle to tune into pop culture nowadays and it wears me down honestly. I wish I could feel like I was a part of something rather than just a solitary loner. I'm only 21 and I find myself unable to relate to people my age. It's all just too fast for me, I don't know how people keep up. My mind still subconsciously registers Jedward and One Direction as current things.

I've never been fully tuned into Pop Culture and only got more detached with time. While I may have had some similar interests with other kids, practical none shared mine. I was a Godzilla fan, a Dinosaur lover and watched pre-mainstream anime. As a teen literally none cared about Doctor Who in any circles in my school or college. The honest answer is that none who truly cares dose keep up. Pop Culture is so shallow and fast moving these days because of streaming and the internet that by the time you've watched something people are consuming the next and forgotten yesterday's thing. Most seem to be chasing a content high rather then actually enjoying it. In my 34 years I've only now met a guy at works who loves old 80s and 90s cartoons who I can chat with about the same shows we watched as kidS. I do get that desire to be part of a group in regards to something, and it feels lonely, but these days I feel more like I bring my unique interests to conversations with friends rather then needing one thing to be the glue that holds us together.
