If Space Babies drops from a 6.2 to a 6.1 on IMDB it will officially become the worst rated episode written by RTD on the site. He's out done himself IMDB is a f*cking joke to me. The fact that it's rated that high is a disgrace. Undermines their opinions collectively on ANYTHING. I broadly agree, but to be fair, the episodes usually receive inflated ratings on broadcast, courtesy of the less critical fans bumping the score to increase hype. It’ll continue to plummet. Likewise, a 6/10 score for a TV episode (usually treated more leniently on there) invariably indicates that it’s bollocks, at least for a series which gets continuously treated with kid gloves by the press.

You know I really f*cking hate that I can't judge bad classic era stories anymore. Whenever I watch an absolute dirge of a story like Warriors of the Deep, Timeflight, Timelash, all I'll think from now on is "well at least they've tried to have a story. At least it's not Missy, Jodieh, Jinx Monsoon, baby farts powering spaceships, stories about how without the music of the Beatles to inspire us humanity will destroy itself, companions dueting with Cilla Black etc."
I also will never be able to watch a DW critic on youtube, or read a book from one as unless they acknowledge all of those things above as worse than the very worst of classic who, then f*ck off. Their opinions are invalid. Those things are objectively worse than ANYTHING in Classic Who, and only someone who was ideological would say otherwise so yeah opinion invalid.

And if that's the case, you may as well complain Timelash with the Annoying Orange lol.

Most of the positive reviews have a ton of "unhelpful" points against them, but there are no critical reviews. That site is just a nightmare for censorship. The amount of reviews I've submitted that have never gone up at all is ridiculous. Letterboxd really is the way forward.

All I keep thinking about is how great the episode synopses sound if they featured any other Doctor. Like, imagine Tom Baker and Lalla Ward taking on the God of Music in a Douglas Adams script. Makes your mouth water

I think it's more of a short-term thing. They can't hold back the floodgates forever, but they can at least get a headstart by censoring the negative reviews for a few days or so

Will you people just stop watching this shit already. Sage psychological advice. I get by by pirating it and seeing it as something to laugh at and take the piss out of. For me, it's less a case of "I despise this and it gets under my skin" and more "Davies is making a massive tit out of himself to millions of people and it's piss-funny", because I don't associate it with the proper series at all. I'll drop off and stop watching it before time, as with the Chibnall era where I actively missed a huge chunk of it. But you're right. As stated before (by myself and others), I've got a televisual masochistic streak. Still, as UncleDeadly once put it, the reportage is usually more edifying than the disaster... That, and the reportage gives the forum extra traffic.

That, and the reportage gives the forum extra traffic. That's the only reason I watched it. I long disassociated it from the original and thought it would just be something to laugh at, but that didn't work. Whilst I still don't associate it with the original it really pissed me off because again it's so annoying to see RTD get paid millions for this and do whatever he wants when so many other people have been trashed for so much less. Leaving aside Gina Carano LOL, even guys I don't like. Joel Schumacher for instance. How the f*ck can anyone possibly trash him for making a mockery of Batman and praise this? Yet that's exactly what all of these f*cking geek websites will do. Honestly I wouldn't even be so bitter if it wasn't for the f*cking fandom and all these youtubers and geek websites etc that are such f*cking c*nts to people, getting some of them cancelled, relishing in others failures, making certain actors into LOL cows with their bullying, obnoxious, sheepish, little memes like Morbius, yet THIS is the type of shit they praise? It pisses me off so much. I know first world problems LOL, but to be fair this is my favourite genre and it's sad to see all critical thinking and quality vanish from its fandom and it becomes just who has the biggest dick in the industry like RTD. Really I won't be watching anymore because it's now a bitter pill to swallow.

It's the fans that thought the McCoy era went too far with the camp but praise this stuff that baffle me. I don't want to hear anything bad about the Kandy Man again. It's time that he got replaced in those shitty "TV's worst moments" clip shows with scenes from Space Babies.

A lot of fans who love this also love the Kandy Man and Richard Briers in Paradise Towers. And guess what? They're ALL crap moments. People will bring up the farting aliens, the wheelie bin, Kandy Man and Richard Briers as I've just mentioned, Soldeed, the Tremas Master, Colin Baker's coat, etc. as reasons why Doctor Who has always been "camp", but these are all terrible low-points for the show.

This Kandy Man and Richard Briers slander cannot be tolerated. Happiness will prevail! f*ck me the McCoy era had a supernatural level of foreshadowing. Hmm let's see. A creepy cult that insist they are fighting to make the world a better place by getting rid of the deplorables/kill joys and have no awareness that they are becoming a totalitarian regime, and sucking all the fun out of everything, and who want to change and appropriate the TARDIS and make it pink? An obnoxious little twit, Chibbnall/Whizz Kid who complains about the expy for show not being as good as it once was, and then gets his chance and fails miserably. The gods who are the fandom for the show and just want more and more and more and more of it, even if it becomes a caricature of its former self? Finally an insufferable egotist in the form of Captain Cook/RTD who takes everything over and makes it about himself, and pulls the wool over people's eyes, but the person who works with him Mags/Eccelston can't f*cking stand him, and who just when we think we've got rid of him he rises from the dead again, only this time he/his career falls into the pit. Was JNT actually a time traveller?
