She looks like Nicola Bryant. In fact I thought she was Nicola Bryant when I was younger so I'm not surprised.
My favourite is All I Want For Christmas is You.
Mariah Carey is gorgeous in it. I LOVE the way she went for a Ronnette inspired look with the dark eyeliner and beehive. I'm partial to that look you know.
I also used to quite like I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus, but It's Always Sunny ruined that for me.

I'm glad I didn't make the obvious all I want for Christmas is Mariah Carey joke LOL. God was that played out. Also it always came over a bit sinister. It was supposed to be flirty, but I always pictured some lunatic saying "Yeah get me Mariah, get some chloroform, bundle her in a car and deliver her to me bound and gagged on Christmas morning."

The Darkness -Don't Let The Bells End is the only one I can actually say I like, mainly because I rate the band highly although it's still one of their weaker tracks and falls into the typical trappings of Christmas dirge. The rest can f*ck off and that includes Merry Xmas Everybody which pisses me off as a lifelong Slade fan in that it's all people associate them with nowadays despite them being much, much more than that. I liked that one too. The Darkness were very underrated. Meanwhile Feel the Noise is the best Slade song for me. You know it's funny Slade are known in America and that song is very popular over there, it even appeared in Ash Vs Evil Dead as the closing theme for one episode, but their Christmas song appears to be completely obscure over there. It's never been played in any American Christmas movie or episode or anything like that. |

I hate Baby It's Cold Outside. It is creepy, and oh dear god has anybody seen the Tom Jones version. He tries to f*cking roofie the singer he's dueting with in the video! Seriously he slips something in her drink.
To be fair one of the lyrics is "hey what's in this drink" but I assume that always meant alcohol which is still pretty creepy, but not as bad as him actually trying to full on date rape her. For some reason they went with the creepiest interpretation imaginable, though he is locked up at the end, it's still sung in an upbeat way.
That said I do quite like the Lady Gaga version as it becomes less creepy when the girl is chasing the man (though they should still have cut out the drink line. I mean there's a big difference between being kinky and creepy and having a girl slip something in your drink crosses that LOL.)
I don't know maybe it's because Gaga could make the phone book appealing to me, or the idea of Gaga chasing after you is too sexy LOL but this is the only version of this song I can stomach.

George Michael is one of a handful of celebrities I've seen with Peter Cushing, Roger Moore that everybody seemed to like. He was like a male ducky. I'll need to find a name for the male version LOL. |
