Roger Moore's was a shock to me and I remember being quite upset about it. Sarah Harding's death was pretty painful to hear too even if I knew it was coming (she had terminal cancer). Harding was my favourite Girls Aloud member at the time I went to watch the band live and remember shouting "Sarah!" when she appeared on a big screen. She was a very beautiful lady and it's so unfair she died before she was 40.

Roger Moore, Patrick Macnee, Nick Courtney... all very saddening.

I remember when Patrick Macnee died. I was on a caravan holiday at the time. Was also around the time a horrible beach shooting happened if I remember correctly.

Well Amy Winehouse for obvious reasons. Icon of my youth, biggest crush, fave singer, someone I was really rooting for, and could relate too in terms of being the outsider, and to see her finally succumb to her problems was just heart breaking and unbelievable. I balled my eyes out.
Rik Mayall meanwhile was the most shocking as he hadn't been ill at all, and I'd say he was probably the icon of my childhood. I shouldn't have been watching him as a child LOL, but still he made me laugh more than anyone and brought me such unbelievable joy. He still does. It almost felt surreal when he died, though I did find it touching and hilarious when people kept quoting.
"But why are the kids crying?" "Haven't you heard Rik is dead, Rik is dead, the people's poet is dead."
LMAO I'm sure he would have wanted it that way.

I remember being quite shocked at the news of Prince's death on social media and thinking it was just a hoax. I was a huge fan of Prince at that time so I was very sad to hear that it was in fact true.

Tanya Roberts was quite sad. Her death was prematurely announced as well. I also didn't expect a Moore era Bond girl to pass so soon. Connery era maybe, but definitely not an 80s Bond girl. I think Jill St John's would affect me the most due to fancying her since my early teens.

It doesn't look good for Julian Sands.

I never knew Corey Haim died on my birthday in 2010. He was such a good child actor. It's a shame what the drugs did to him.

Sean Lock's death came completely out of the blue. When I first stumbled across the "in memory of Sean Lock" video, I assumed it was a joke or something. I guess he kept his cards quite close to his chest when it came to revealing personal details, which is an attitude I can certainly admire in a world marred with the endless ins-and-outs of A-listers and Z-listers alike.

Shame Tom Sizemore died. I enjoyed him enormously in the Stallone film "lock Up." Apparently he was cast in the first episode of Season 6 of Cobra Kai, but sadly they haven't started filming yet so unfortunately the part will have to be recast.

Was surprised to hear Linda Kasabian died earlier this year. Probably one of the nicer Manson members as she didn't kill anyone and helped put him away.

You can add Kevin Conroy to the list. That was really shocking and sad. He was such a huge part of my childhood. And my teenage years and my young adulthood LOL.

Sir Bobby Charlton definitely. It is true we English cling to the 1966 World Cup win a bit too much (it's all we have, in the men's game anyway), but that squad was special and quite a few of the starting line up have now died in the past few years. Sir Geoff Hurst is the only surviving member now and even he's in his eighties now. Really sad times.

I didn't know Burt Young from the Rocky films had died. Said he passed on the 8th of October and I'm only finding out now. That actually sucks. Paulie was obviously a total moron, but Burt Young was terrific in the role and one of the most memorable actors in the series. So sad.
