SPOILERS as you know they are rebooting the DCEU, by having Barry go backwards in time and his meddling, creates a hole in the universes that causes two of them to merge together, the DCEU and Burtonverse, leading to Keaton being the Batman going forward. They could easily have it that several more merge realities together as a result including the . The Phoenix Joker and Gaga Harley would go quite well with the Burtonverse Batman. After all this Joker caused the death of Batman's parents and Joker seemed to be set in the past, though when is never made clear, much like with the Burtonverse? The way I see it, they will have to replace the Joker at some point. Nicholson is too old, and his Joker died in the 89 universe, and Leto I think has retired, whilst Robbie, though popular, all of her movies were gigantic flops, so if Gaga's Harley is a hit then I can easily see DC saying "okay go with her instead." Personally I don't want this. If they are going to replace Leto, I think Cameron Monaghan would be better as he was an amazing Joker and would fit in with the Burtonverse better as he was monstrous. Still we'll see. This sounds like the dumbest idea ever. 1. The DCEU doesn't need a reboot. They could literally just make Aquaman or Wonder Woman the new focus of the franchise (a la Iron Man) and keep going without really bringing up the films everyone dislikes. Or just bring back Henry Cavill. As for Batman, Joker and Lex, those characters are easily replaced. Do a Batman Beyond thing for the first two, and cast Bryan Cranston as Lex Sr (I know they said Lex Sr was dead, but who cares). 2. If they want to reboot it, it should be a brand new start. Mixing Snyderverse actors with new ones is just going to confuse everyone. It's not like Star Trek, where basically everything was new and they only had one minor loose thread to the old films with Leonard Nimoy. My problem with having it that two universes are being merged is that doesn't this make Barry a mass murderer on an unprecedented scale? Presumably now that both universes have been merged and some people have replaced others, IE Keaton has replaced Affleck, then that means that presumably billions of people throughout both universes history will have been lost/replaced IE, died. Sadly this shit is nothing new. DC have a bad habit of merging universes. The Arrowverse did it with Crisis on Infinite Earth's, the comics did it with all the new earth shit. I love alternate universe stories, but I think they should be used sparingly. IE if you've got a good story like Inferno, or to reboot it every 20 years. Once one continuity is done, just jump to a new universe. That way you can get a fresh start, but if you want, later you can have the old ones cross over for one special story like Spider-Man did to great effect. DC always f*cked up their multiverse, by using it to explain every continuity blip, destroying it, bringing it back, merging universes, getting changed timelines and alternate realities mixed up etc. When the Arrowverse tried to do the same it similarly tied itself up in knots and now it looks like the DCEU is going to do the same.

If they wanted Lex they should've just hired Michael Rosenbaum he was brilliant as Lex. Missed opportunity . If they do want to mix up all of their timelines into one universe going forward, then it should be. Michael Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor. I agree he was excellent and brought so much humanity to the role. Also get Clancy Brown to play Lionel Luthor. I LOVED Jon Glover and he is a star (do you know he shagged Freddie Mercury?) Still Brown is the Lex Luthor for us 90s kids and since he is too old to play it in live action now, that might be a good compromise. Cameron Monaghan as the Joker, Sean Pertwee as Alfred. (Only in flashbacks due to Batman's age if Keaton is Batman.) Grant Gustin as the Flash. (I understand if he wants to move on, but still he does have a built in audience and he was the absolute best Flash there ever was.) Michael Keaton as Batman. (If Cameron is the Joker then they'll have to change things a bit as he is so much younger. I reckon they could have it that Jacks Joker still happened, but just like in the comics and other adaptations, there were three Jokers. Ironically this is an idea that Gotham, that Monaghan himself starred in, made popular, that the Joker is a title passed down to numerous psychopaths. So you could have it that Jack was the first, Leto the second and Monaghan would be the third going forward. Maybe Leto took notice of him as a young psycho and trained him as an apprentice?) Michelle Pfieffer as Catwoman. I'd also bring in the Huntress. She is more of a natural successor to Batman than Batgirl was. She is Batman and Catwoman's daughter. Keep Gadot as Wonder Woman, and Momoa as Aquaman and Cavill as Superman. Do NOT try and replace Superman with Supergirl. Have Supergirl by all means, but in the current climate trying to replace him will lead to culture wars shit. They'll probably need a new Cyborg given the bad feeling. If they do that with their new ten year plan then it might work.

I can see the "musical" stuff basically being delusions. The film is subtitled "Folie a Deux" - madness of two - so I can see Joker and Harley imagining themselves as these colorful supervillains complete with musical numbers when they're actually just grubby little nutters. That might actually be quite funny. I'm more enthusiastic about this film now that I've had time to process it. If anyone can pull it off then it will be the big nosed goddess.

I don't like this approach to things. I don't think a movie should be canned. If they all canned films that sucked I don't think there would be many films left at the cinema.
