Well Moffat didn't block me. I have to say I do admire him for letting me keep that message on instagram. He clearly has more integrity than any of the others. Granted he isn't involved in it anymore, so it's not like I was confronting him, but I was bringing up the Russell issue I admit to see what would happen. I feel bad being a tiny bit of a troll, but to be fair given the sway these people have had over the fandom for so long I was kind of wanting to knock them off their high horses a tiny bit.
Still he came out of it a lot better than RTD.

I kinda like Moffat. Though maybe that's just 30+ year loyalty from Press Gang. You know I actually liked his version of Dracula. Well the first two bits. The third was too horrible for me. The girl being cremated alive and living on after as a burned out corpse was horrifying. Still the first two bits were great, and Claes Bang was the best Dracula I've seen in a while. Ironically you know why it was good? It was the opposite of Missy. There's a trend where a villain will be made to fall in love with the hero in an adaptation, and that will eventually take over all subsequent versions of the character to the point where they will be nothing but the heroes love interest. Missy was obviously this and Irene Adler has been hit hard with it, including ironically in Moffat's version. Dracula meanwhile has been hit almost as hard, in that almost all versions will have him be in love with Mina. This was never in the book, and much like Missy wanting to bone the Doctor, it limits the character. Dracula is a fascinating villain, with so many different sides to him, and there are so many aspects of his story that get left out, like his study at Scholomance. Most people think of Dracula as just a guy chasing after some woman. Moffat ironically bucked the trend and gave us a Dracula who wasn't in love with Mina, was a terrifying predator, had other grander plans, and who got to play off of other characters and was genuinely menacing again. Ironically he did a good job, but sadly nobody watched it because of the last series of Sherlock and the Capaldi era, which is ironic. |

None pulls the rug out from under Moffats feet better then himself, and it's shame given the man can actually write good stuff. He almost always chokes on the last hurdle , so always be ready for a Moffat ending to be dog shit.
RTD I never had faith in, You can see a lot of the ground work for modern nuwho in his era its just none quite had the nerve f*ck up the show this much back then. The road to Jodie began with Rose and that subtle displacement of the Doctor as the main character, a role that he had held since Troughton's days. The ego of the team as they all saw themselves above what had come befor. Chibbnell may be the worst show runner, but RTD was the the one who cut out it's soul and got people to cheer him for it.

Your exactly right Commander you bring up a excellent point RTD started the damage and chinballs finished it plus like you said The Doctor was always the main character from Troughton on plus The doctor wasnt constantly snogging females like in new who.

Paul Cornell blocked me on instagram when I brought up the same point about NPH being worse than people who have been banned from DW fandom and media like Gareth Roberts, James Dreyfus and that NPH was far worse than even the dregs of the NMD crowd. Seriously, tell me when even the worst NMD person did anything like that? I pointed out to him that he should either condemn Harris or RTD, or not be so gun ho with the others. He blocked me within the minute.
LMAO I think this has exposed them for the hypocrites they are. Like I said, respect to Moff for not being a shitbag on this, but the others, RTD is a big let down, whilst Paul Cornell I expected this of, but it was still funny anyway.

He said something else after that which I need to find. He also promoted cheating by posting a picture of a woman climbing out of the window to be with another man while her boyfriend/husband is depicted doing a rant on a computer. And also, ignoring your concern about Neil Patrick Harris. There's other stuff like his constant blocking of people and gloating about it (like he did to the equally idiotic Beth from the Time Team). I don't like him. |
