Sorry, I've been rather predictable here too... Me too. Ark in Space, Sontaran Experiment and Genesis. Robot’s decent too, though. Revenge is the only Hinchcliffe story I don’t like much at all, although I must stress that I haven’t seen it in years. It’s probably not as bad as I recall, albeit remarkably nondescript by the standards of the era.

Just went with the usual three. I personally think Robot is utter shit though. It's cheesy, stupid and badly made.

Just went with the usual three. I personally think Robot is utter shit though. It's cheesy, stupid and badly made. I don't think Robot deserves to be dismissed so flagrantly. It has some nice Asimovian concepts at play involving the Robot's nascent humanity and the abuse of it's prime directives by totalitarians subverting utopianism for their own ends. I don't see that it's badly-made particularly. Seems like standard stuff of the period to me, and the titular Robot is a beautiful piece of design. It's very much a Pertwee story featuring Tom Baker, yes, but i think that's a great way to illustrate how different Tom is from his predecessor and, if anything, the chemistry between the Fourth Doctor and the Brigadier is even more effective (and amusing).
I think it's a good solid story all round. Perhaps not a classic, but it's great to see Tom Baker hit the ground running so spectacularly in a role that's clearly meant for him and it's one i've always enjoyed watching. In comparison, Sontaran Experiment seems, as a two-part quickie shot on location, rather half-baked , if grittier in tone.

I'll give Revenge its only vote. Used to be a bit harsh on it, but now it's one of my favourite Cybermen adventures and also one of my favourite Hinchcliffe era stories.

Season 12 was a real gem, wasn't it? So many iconic stories to choose from. But if I had to pick just one... (drumrolls on thighs dramatically) I'd have to go with "Genesis of the Daleks".
It's a true masterpiece of science fiction storytelling. The stakes are so high, the moral dilemmas so compelling. I mean, the Doctor grappling with whether to commit genocide to prevent future atrocities? That's heavy stuff!
And Davros' introduction was nothing short of brilliant. Michael Wisher's performance was chilling to the bone. Plus, those iconic moments like the Doctor holding the wires, debating whether to destroy the Dalek incubators

Ark in Space, Sontaran Experiment, Genesis.
I think Sontaran Experiment is pretty underrated. It's so chill. I love it when Classic Who does two-parters.

Both are such atmospheric and creepy stories that showcase Tom Baker's Doctor perfectly.

I prefer twelve to thirteen simply because there's a string of old foe stories. Sontaran Experiment isn't one of the best serials but I do like the idea of a lone Sontaran doing tests before the main invasion fleet arrives. Genesis also isn't my favourite Dalek serial but I love seeing Daleks glide down corridors and murder people. Revenge has gone from my least favourite Cyberman story of the classic age to maybe my fourth favourite. Again, seeing the Cybermen battle their way through the caves of Voga is entertaining to me. My issue with the Baker era is that I wish he had faced these enemies more frequently. I suppose everything worked out for the best, but I personally would have shoved a Cyberman story in the Williams era.
