I think he was. He only got one crack of the whip, but I think he's decent in the film. He brought a more romantic, sensitive side to the character but also retained the ruthless streak from Connery. Lazenby is also hands down the best actor when it comes to fight scenes. I believe he broke a stunt man's nose once because of how into it he was. He really makes it believable and I like how his film shows a bloodier Bond than before. Lazenby played a more vulnerable Bond than ever before and I think he can portray sadness, concern and anger better than Moore (Moore is still my favourite though). Some of his quips are delivered well, others not so much but then I suppose that would have improved over time. Lazenby's Bond comes across as a more likeable guy than Connery's as well. In the end, I think I'd put in him third on my list ahead of Dalton, Brosnan and Craig.

He was a very good a nice mix of Moore and Connery or pre Moore I should say was natural at the humourous side which I liked and could be serious when needed to be had better chemistry with telly then Connery had with pleasence I think .plus him and Diana rigg we're electrifying together .

That's why he was so excellent in the fight scenes. Unlike the others he was a badass in real life. In fact Lazenby was to have had a role in Game of Death, but sadly Bruce died before he could film any scenes. He wasn't in the 78 film, but that's just as well LOL. Incidentally does anyone think the Game of Death theme that was supplied by John Barry himself sounds a bit like a Bond theme? I think it sounds not too unlike OHMSS theme to be honest.

I'm actually glad Lazenby did one. I really rate his Bond, but I think OHMSS has a very unique status because of how different it is (and obviously how good it is too). I think it works better with a one off Bond.
