Okay
Way of the Dragon. Bruce Lee vs Chuck Norris.
Still the best of the masters one on one fights. Both are at the top of their game here and the setting is so perfect. Also from a shallow perspective Bruce was at his most gorgeous and sexy in this film. He is one of my few gay crushes. I'll never tire of watching him take his shirt off. Just a shame it was only his shirt.
T-Rex kills Raptors
The best Dinosaur sequence in the movie in my opinion. This scene shows you why Spielberg is one of the best directors (as big as an asshole as he may be.) He has such a fine attention to detail like having the banner slowly descend while the Tyrannosaur roars in triumph. It should be cheesy, but the T-Rex's brutal victory, the music and the effects make it amazing.
Star Trek 2 Spock's Death.
Greatest tear jerker in the history of cinema (apart from Littlefoot's mothers death.) This is also the best performance from Shatner and Nimoy in the series.
Jack Napier/Joker kills Batman's parents.
Unlike others I didn't mind the change to Batman's origin in this film. It made sense for this version of the story and this scene is the most horrifying depiction of the Wayne murders. The way that it happens so fast, and I love the way the other thug, despite being a lowlife that's willing to attack a woman in front of her son, is absolutely horrified. Credit to the young actor who plays Jack, who is criminally overlooked. His grin is so cruel, yet his performance is understated. A lot of people have compared this to the scene from Once Upon A Time in The West, and it is, but in some ways I think it might be more effective as it's more subtle. The lack of music really helps.
Tim Curry explaining everything in Clue. This scene is why I like Tim Curry so much. He has so much energy and charisma.
He would have made the best Doctor of all, possibly rivalling even Tom!

Oh sorry I just saw I posted the wrong bit from Clue. That scene isn't up anymore, but still it's a good scene I posted nonetheless LOL.

Completely agree on the Batman scene. Completely agree with the change too. It just gave the climax so much more weight.

Here's some of my faves... 1. Public Enemy - effective and subtly violent scene... 2. A Night At The Opera - the problems of crowded cabins... 3. Dracula - Hammer shows how to do a classic vampire film... 4. It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World - typical scene from epic comedy.... 5. Scarface - a classic 80s montage.... Enjoy!

Shout out to the opening scene from Scream. This is the most terrifying scene in cinema history bar none. The way it slowly builds up and then just explodes into a nightmare. So many lines that still send chills down your spine.
"I want to know who I'm looking at."
"To see what your insides look like."
"Which door am I at."
Also the fact that her parents see it just makes the horror all the more real. Honestly I cry watching it thinking about her poor parents seeing her like that and the bit where she tries to call out to them is so heartbreaking.
This scene is so effective I can't even watch it most times. Even though I'm a horror guy, I prefer vampires, demons and monsters. Things like this, whilst obviously I can respect how brilliant they are, can get a little too much even for me.
Also this fight from Way of the Dragon is underrated. I just love it when Bruce Lee uses nunchucks. How the f*ck does he swing them so fast and without hitting himself in the face? Sadly this scene was left out of my VHS tape when I was a boy as all the nunchuck fights were. They were banned in the UK even on film. To be fair they are lethal weapons, but I think it's funny that they included scenes from the Big Boss where he cuts guys up with knives, but not these nunchuck scenes.
PS how brilliant would it have been if Drew Barrymore's boyfriend in Scream was a Bruce Lee type of a guy instead of the hapless Steve. Wouldn't have been a good moment of horror, but I would have loved watching Ghostface get the absolute shit kicked out of him with nunchucks LOL.

Sorry not related to the thread, but continuing the Bruce Lee theme, I found this picture of Gina Carano with Bruce Lee's daughter and adorable grand daughter. I would have loved it if Ghostface tried that shit on with Bruce's daughter who not only knows Jeet Kune Do, but whose friend Gina Carano was coming over and whose dad Bruce was coming to visit that night LOL. His balls would have been hanging from the nearby tree instead.
