Be it ego or genuine curtesy, Tom kept out of the Five Doctors because of how long he was on the show. It was an anniversary special and should be about the show as a whole, not just it's most popular bit. It was the right call in my eyes. I've said it befor, I'll say it at nauseum, Tennent is biggest remaining stone hanging around nuwho's neck now the Time Wars finally finished with. It has never been allowed to move on from him, FFS Day of the Doctor had him as the sole returning proper Doctor in the mains story. Every time the show starts to fail, make your Doctor act more like Tennent. When thats not working anymore, make your Doctor a diet version of Tennent with tits and a vagina instead of her own incarnation. Women are more then that and they disserve better than that if your going to change the characters gender, not box-ticking sloppy seconds. |

I am so uninterested and uninspired by all of this. I'm kind of glad in a way. It would have been terrible to have been sucked back in with false promises, having everything look rosy, only to end up being shat in the face again. As it is it's so obvious that this glooorious new era is not for me, there's no temptation to go back again. |

lol I'm still genuinely surprised that the trainwreck is this obvious, though. Given the desperate nature of the rescue attempt, I did think they'd at least make an effort to put on a show of fixing things. If this is that attempt, Davies is even more out of touch with reality than I thought!

He's already managed to beat Chibnall in terms of sheer ridiculousness and we're still over a year away from his era even beginning. I didn't have high hopes to begin with but I certainly didn't expect this.
